WWE’s official statement read: “WWE has come to terms on the release of Steve Cutler. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Cutler spent time in WWE, where he was most famous for being part of the Forgotten Sons. Unfortunately, shortly after the team was moved to SmackDown, Jaxson Ryker came under fire from fans for some very controversial comments on Twitter, and the Forgotten Sons were removed from TV.

Cutler returned to TV as part of Baron Corbin’s Knights of the Lone Wolf faction, but he and his tag partner Wesley Blake have rarely appeared on TV.
His release comes just days after it was revealed that his fellow SmackDown star Lars Sullivan was released in January for failing to turn up at TV tapings. We don’t yet know if Cutler personally requested his release.
It isn’t clear what Cutler’s release means for Blake, but we’ll continue to monitor the situation.
Everyone at diggingsports wishes Steve Cutler the best for the future.
