WWE might have big plans for Edge’s Wrestlemania 37 booking

WWE News: Edge announced that he will enter the 2021 Royal Rumble match. He is also very certain about his chances of winning. The current booking situation could point in that direction as well.

We previously reported that Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt’s feud could stretch to WrestleMania. That match was supposed to go down at the Royal Rumble as Ringside News exclusively reported. We are days away from the Royal Rumble, and that match hasn’t been booked.

Goldberg has spoken recently about how it bothers him that his match against Roman Reigns didn’t happen. Reigns has also thrown out some shade in Goldberg’s direction in recent memory. That match might have to continue waiting.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentioned that since Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt seem to be earmarked for WrestleMania now then that leaves, “Edge open for Reigns or McIntyre since his promo was strong about going after the title.”

Roman Reigns vs Edge would give fans a spear vs spear match that they didn’t see coming. Plenty of fans were expecting Goldberg vs Roman Reigns, but Edge could be a nice surprise.

The Rated R Superstar is a writer on the RAW brand. That doesn’t mean he can’t show up on SmackDown and challenge the Tribal Chief.
