WWE News: Alexa Bliss reveals that WWE had to change the original plans for her current character

Alexa Bliss is, without a doubt, one of the biggest female Superstars in WWE. After several months of absence, the former Raw and SmackDown Women’s champion.

Returned to programming, with a story that promised to be accompanied. By a character change, something that finally happened

Although in a somewhat different way than how it was originally planned. In this sense, while being interviewed in the latest edition of the podcast.

Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Bliss discussed various issues. Including what were the original plans for her return.  Here we leave you.

With her most outstanding statements, transcript courtesy of WrestlingNews.co: On how much of her is in her current character

“Right now it’s just me. Obviously the dark Alexa, the evil Alexa, it wasn’t me, but it was so much fun. I love playing characters. I love getting into a different mindset. But right now.

It’s just me with Lilly and a doll. I’m still working on this aspect. I think everyone realizes that too. I’m trying, but I’m discovering it little by little.

Right now, I’m just myself.  I’ve never done it on camera.  I know myself and I know Lexi, the person, and I’m boring.

I’m boring and I know I’m not entertaining to watch.  It’s true.  You can ask my husband.  I’m very boring.  But I’m trying to find a way to marry him into.

Some kind of character because everyone always says, ‘Your character should be an extension of yourself put to the max,’ but I’ve never done that in the ring.

I’ve never done.  So right now I’m testing it.  I’ll see how he goes.  If not, you’ll see me come out with something completely different.

That’s why I love playing characters, because as a person I don’t like being paid attention to.  As a character, I love it.  If I’m acting.

I love the attention on me.  I love being the center of attention.  But as a person, I hate her.  I even freaked out the day before our wedding.

I told my husband, ‘Oh my God.’  He said, “What? I said, ‘Everyone is going to see me walk down the aisle. I don’t like that. It’s too much attention.'”

About her therapy on WWE Raw

It was an idea that I proposed for a long time.  Originally it was a different type of therapy.

I wanted to be taken to Extreme Rules and then come back as a different version of the Dark Alexa character.  But obviously, a lot of things happened, and I had to have surgery.

So we thought it would be the perfect time for a vacation. Then we waited for Extreme Rules to come back with these therapy sessions.  They were very fun.

Everyone knows that I love acting.  It’s something I always feel creatively fulfilled with, and it was a lot of fun.  We had a lot of creative control.

But Vince (McMahon) was super impressive, and from what I’ve heard, he sat down for a few hours, wrote it all down.  He took the idea and made it happen.”

On his work with Bray Wyatt:

“Working with the Demon, with Windham, has been the most fun I’ve had in my entire WWE career.

He’s so creatively brilliant, and he puts so much effort into his character, so much research. It made me want to step up my game. I play 100% because, well.

He puts so much effort into his character that I have to put twice as much into mine. When you get into someone else’s role, you don’t want to put it down.

You just want to raise it.  I put a lot of effort into that, and protecting the character, and protecting him when we did the Firefly Funhouse.  It was fun.

Obviously, it’s very sad that we’re not working together anymore because it was so much fun, and I think WWE fans saw how much fun we had.”

On the inspiration to create his character. I got into a lot of cult documentaries and different scary movies. I wanted my character to have a little bit.

An identity crisis. That’s why I went back to the child mindset, because I know personally when I had my eating disorders It was traumatic for me.

My brain reverted to a childish defense mechanism. I took some of that for my character. I remember thinking: what did I like to watch when I was a child?

I liked to see Big Comfy Couch.  So I came up with the idea of having Lilly, like the Molly doll from Big Comfy Couch.  I took a lot of things from my childhood that I liked.

Incorporated them into the character.  I also took a part from the movie “The Orphan”, in which the girl is about 30 years old and pretends to be a girl.

I incorporated her into the character.  So there was a lot of stuff about my real interests and real stuff as a kid that I really put into the Dark Alexa character.”
