WWE News: Daniel Bryan contract expires with WWE following defeat against Roman Reigns

WWE News: Daniel Bryan contract expires with WWE following defeat against Roman Reigns.

Daniel Bryan played his last match in WWE last Friday on Friday Night SmackDown. He put his continuity in the blue show at stake in a fight against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

Bryan lost and then he forced to leave SmackDown. Although coincidentally this date also coincided with the end of his contract with WWE.

Many have wondered the exact date of the expiration of that contract and it seems that the moment has already come. Sean Ross Sapp, a journalist for Fightful, has indicated in the last hours that he has spoken with people from the WWE staff and no one has been able to clarify what will happen to the former world champion.

What is official is that the contract ended sometime last week. Possibly the same Friday after the direct of SmackDown.

High-level sources, both external and internal, have heard of the expiration of the deal. But Bryan has not spoken openly about the status of his contract behind the scenes. No particular farewell has been heard of backstage, either, though that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen in private.

This does not mean that Bryan is leaving WWE . During the last days there has been much speculation about his future. Since he will sign part-time with the company until he will fight in other promotions under contract with WWE.

He recently declared that the latter would be the ideal. Although everything indicates that it is a verbal strategy to approach positions with WWE at the time of renewing his contract.
