WWE News: Liv Morgan already knew that Becky Lynch will make her return with a WWE Championship
WWE News: Being the only standing member of the late Riot Squad is testament to the high esteem in which WWE holds Liv Morgan.
But beyond the plans that the company may have in-house for the 27-year-old fighter, Becky Lynch, brand new SmackDown champion, also envisions great things for her future.
During an interview with Kayla Braxton on this week’s episode of WWE Talking Smack, Morgan explained that before Lynch left to take care of her pregnancy. She assured her that by the time she returned she would be champion.
And although to this day that has not been the case, Morgan has proposed to give her the reason for it.

“Want to know a little secret?” Morgan began (transcript courtesy of Wrestling Inc.). “When Becky left I gave her a goodbye hug. She whispered in my ear, ‘When I come back, you’re going to be a champion.’ I’ve thought about it every day. She’s back, and I’m not a champion.
But I look forward to so many. You want to prove she was right. Maybe it won’t be in the time that she raised it, but I’m going to be the champion, and I would love for it to be taking the belt off Becky Lynch, “she concluded.
Lynch made her surprise return to the WWE ropes last weekend during SummerSlam 2021, where she defeated former champion Bianca Belair in seconds to be crowned SmackDown monarch for the fourth time.
Morgan, on the other hand, did not have a presence in the PPV, but remained close to the starting scene by being part of an elimination match on Friday’s episode of SmackDown, going hand-in-hand with Belair in a Fatal 4-Way that also involved to Carmella and Zelina Vega.
