WWE News: Randy Orton speaks about the possibility of overcoming John Cena and Ric Flair

John Cena and Ric Flair share the honor of being the wrestlers with the most world championships in WWE history.

Both managed to achieve glory 16 times, a record within the reach of very few.

Among the candidates is Randy Orton, who is just two world titles away from matching this record.

In this regard, while being interviewed on the “Out of Character with Ryan Satin” podcast.

Orton commented on the possibility of breaking the record set by Flair and Cena, noting that it is not a goal for him.

Then we leave you with his statements about it, transcript courtesy of WrestlingNews.co:

“I wouldn’t say it’s a goal, no. If that doesn’t happen, I’m not going to be heartbroken about it.

I think… I mean, I’m happy with everything I’ve accomplished. I would definitely love to accomplish more.

But, if for some reason, tomorrow, that was it, I think I could be happy with the race I’ve had.”

In 2020, Orton proposed an idea where he and John Cena would wrestle at a WrestleMania event.

Where the winner would break the all-time record and have Flair involved in the match.  Something that, a priori, might not happen in the short term.

With Flair out of the company and Cena focused on his movie career, it’s unlikely we’ll get to see that match.

However, the possibility that Orton could break this record is still very possible.  The fighter has shown to continue in good shape.

In addition, he has recently confessed that he is having a lot of fun in his new stage as Riddle’s partner.
