WWE NXT 2.0 Highlights: Johnny Gargano reveals plans for #DIY on the WWE main roster
The case of Johnny Gargano within WWE is very striking. The fighter gained great popularity among the company’s fans without becoming a competitor of the main cast.
Gargano wrapped up his stint with WWE in late 2021 as an NXT Triple Crown Champion and a three-time Developmental Brand North American Champion.

Johnny Gargano recalled the time when he and Tommaso Ciampa made constant appearances on RAW and SmackDown throughout 2019.
“We thought our next step was the main roster,” Gargano said.

“I remember Tommaso telling me about the problem with his neck and I started to fear for our future. I quickly called Shawn Michaels and everyone.”
“We were supposed to be a team, but suddenly I had no plans. I proposed that they send me back to NXT and eventually go back to the original plan.
Unfortunately, WWE renewed with USA Network and they wanted to have me on RAW. Interestingly, it was a situation that we never talked about again.
Johnny Gargano acknowledged that he felt stressed by the ever-changing framework that exists backstage in WWE.
“A lot of people love the stress and the atmosphere of intrigue. I for one like to know what I’m doing.
I want to know how much time I have and not worry when it’s over, and the same goes for plans and the creative process.
