Pete Dunne, O’Reilly and Johhny Gargano risk being a contender
Karrion Kross defeated Finn Bálor at last week’s NXT main event. The NXT champion retained the medal and tonight he will meet his next rival. Pete Dunne, Kyle O’Reilly and Johhny Gargano face off in a triple threat where the winner will be the next challenger to the NXT belt. Gargano is the only one of the three who already knows what it means to wear the maximum belt of the brand.

While Gargano knows what it’s like to be a champion, Pete Dunne and Kyle O’Reilly have only aspired to the belt. Dunne has had three chances to win the belt, while Kyle O’Reilly has twice claimed the brand’s top title.
MSK defends tag team belts
The NXT Tag Team Championships will be up for grabs tonight on the weekly show. Wes Lee and Nash Carter face El Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Raúl Mendoza) in what will be their second starting defense since they won the belts. The two teams have been in a rivalry for several weeks where they have been involved in the rivalry between Santos Escobar and Kushida.

Franky Monet debuted with victory
Franky Monet featured his first match on NXT last week. The former Lucha Libre AAA champion debuted in the ring with victory defeating Cora Jade and tonight aims to continue her climb within the gold and black mark. Monet, before offering his first match, appeared facing various wrestlers making clear his intentions to be important within WWE.
