WWE NXT Result: 20th April – Full Result, Best Action, Sarray Debut and more.
Kyle O’Reilly strolls to the ring in street clothes. He is wearing a denim jacket, sunglasses and a fedora hat. After defeating Adam Cole, it was time to move on. O’Reilly found the killer instinct he needed. O’Reilly talks about his next goal – the NXT Championship.
Cameron Grimes comes out and interrupts O’Reilly’s speech. Grimes is excited about O’Reilly and wants to invest in him. O’Reilly lets himself into Grimes for fun until he mentions that he got the in-ring clearance and that his next opponent is already nearby. Of course he meant Grimes by that. O’Reilly knocks out Grimes. Both will play a match against each other tonight.
Earlier Today Video: We see the arrival of Japanese wrestler Sarray. When William Regal greets them, Zoey Stark shows up and asks for a match against Sarray. The Japanese takes on the challenge for a match tonight.
Backstage: LA Knight apologizes for being eliminated from the Gauntlet Eliminator Match. Then he insulted Dexter Lumis. Both meet immediately in the ring.
1. Match
LA Knight defeated Dexter Lumis after the snap mare Driver – during the match settled Indi Hartwell look behind the barricade and directed both superstars with their presence off Lumis settled finally again distracted and LA Knight used this for his finisher
After Match: Hartwell and Lumis approach. Hartwell awaits a kiss and closes his eyes. Lumis approaches her, but suddenly The Way can be seen. Austin Theory grabs Hartwell, and Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae roar loudly before retiring.

Video: Beth Phoenix does a sitdown interview with Io Shirai. Both look back on a few moments of the Japanese’s matches and Shirai thinks she may be taking a break. Franky Monet (w / dog Presley) enters the scene and apologizes to Presley for the current situation. Monet is happy to meet Io Shirai and also a Beth Phoenix.
With Shirai apparently wanting to take a break, Monet would like to follow in her footsteps. Shirai stands up and shares something in Japanese. Of course, Monet cannot understand Shirai. Then Shirai looks at Presley and says, “I like cats!” Shirai assumes and Monet suspects that Shirai is just having one bad day.
Before the next match: Breezango appear as The Queens Guard. The Grizzled Young Veterans come out and Drake mocks Breezango, calling her a cosplayer. When the Grizzled Young Veterans want to launch an attack, Breezango counter and defend themselves.
2. Match
Tag Team Match
The Grizzled Young Veterans: James Drake & Zack Gibson def. Breezango: Tyler Breeze & Fandango after the Ticket To Mayhem against Breeze.
Backstage: McKenzie Mitchell tries to interview Indi Hartwell, but The Way interrupts the conversation. Bronson Reed walks into the picture and shows interest in a match against Johnny Gargano, but Austin Theory has spoken to William Regal. If Reed wants to get a North American Championship match against Gargano, he must first defeat Theory. Reed agrees, while Gargano is anything but enthusiastic.
In another interview in the backstage area after a commercial break, Cameron Grimes was initially happy about winning an auction, but only a moment later he learned that he had been outbid by Ted DiBiase. Grimes goes into a fit of anger.
3. Match
Sarray defeated Zoey Stark after a Saito Suplex
After the match: Toni Storm comes out and attacks Stark until Sarray makes the save.
Backstage: NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez (w / Dakota Kai) is interviewed. Gonzalez is ready for a challenge.
Backstage: Candice LeRae tried to get Indi Hartwell to focus on something other than Lumis. Candice is furious as Hartwell follows her. In the further course, Hartwell is no longer at her side, but Candice does not notice anything. Candice meets the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart and pokes at both of them, then the Champs grab Candice, bring her into a room and take her there.

This is followed by a hype video about the new NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida. The Japanese comes out and issues an open challenge which Oney Lorcan accepts.
4. Match
NXT Cruiserweight Championship
Kushida (c) defeated Oney Lorcan via abandonment in the modified hoverboard lock
After the match: Legado del Fantasma attack Kushida until the NXT Tag Team Champs MSK make the save. Legado del Fantasma withdraw.
Backstage: Mercedes Martinez talks Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai’s relationship. She suspects that Dakota is the boss, while Gonzalez just makes empty promises and is her loyal lap dog. Martinez will teach Kai a lesson and next he will tackle Gonzalez.
Backstage: The beaten and battered Candice LeRae goes to Austin Theory and Johnny Gargano. Indi Hartwell shows up and says that she has not only seen Dexter Lumis, but also William Regal and the granted Candice and her a title match against Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart. Gargano and Theory are delighted but ignore the Champs attack on Candice.
Before the next match there is a short pop-up hype video from Imperium.
5. Match
Tag Team Match
Empire: Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner (w / Alexander Wolfe) defeated Ever-Rise: Chase Parker & Matt Martel after an assisted top rope uppercut against Parker – during the match Killian Dain came out to abuse Wolfe, this distracted Aichner for a short time – Drake came at the end of the match. Maverick came out because he wanted to mess with Alexander Wolfe, but Maverick carried him away.
Backstage: Kyle O’Reilly meets Karrion Kross (w / Scarlett) in front of his entrance. A short star down follows.
