WWE Raw Result & Highlight – 03rd May 2021: AJ Styles & Omos win, Sheamus US Open Challenge, Superstar debut and more

WWE Raw Result & Highlight – 03rd May 2021: AJ Styles & Omos win, Sheamus US Open Challenge, Superstar debut and more.

WWE Raw Result: Raw starts with a video review of the events between Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley.

Earlier Today Video: MVP Announces Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville that “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley can defeat either Drew McIntyre or Braun Strowman. Sonya Deville has a coin with her. Drew McIntyre steps in and says MVP doesn’t have to worry about who Lashey is up against tonight.

Braun Strowman also shows up and recalls his victory over McIntyre from the previous week. “The Monster Among Men” also promises a victory over Lashley. Strowman and McIntyre argue until Adam Pearce interrupts both superstars because he wants to toss the coin.

Strowman decides on the number and the mouth lands on number. So Strowman will face Lashley tonight. Strowman promises victory.

McIntyre says he will send Strowman to Claymore Country after the match. MVP knows how it ends, because after Lashley takes Braun into the hurt lock, “The Monster Among Men” won’t make it to WrestleMania Backlash. Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos make their way to the ring.

Styles bragged about defeating The New Day and recalled that it was Omos’ first match. Omos destroyed The New Day at WrestleMania and will repeat that in the rematch tonight. Styles has a question for the WWE Universe.

“Did you miss us? Of course you missed us!” Styles explains her absence after WrestleMania. Both celebrated off the coast of Florida in the Caribbean because they had better things to do than throw tomatoes, like The New Day. Officially, AJ Styles is a Grand Slam Champion. “It only took me five years!”, Says Styles. Both are here for just one reason …

The New Day interrupt and go on stage. Kofi congratulates the Raw Tag Team Champs on their well-deserved break. But their work ethic only made them 11-time champions. However, Styles and Omos showed no respect for the Tag Team Division because they both took time out.

Kofi explains why they became Tag Team Champions 11 times. That’s because after every defeat they have picked themselves up and won their titles back.

On the biggest night of his career, when he won the WWE Championship, his kids were in the ring. “It was a physically and emotionally demanding match, but I came out again the next night and performed on Raw because that’s the kind of champion I am”.

Omos has had enough of the fooling idiots. “I guess I didn’t beat you up enough at WrestleMania. When I’m done with you guys, nobody will be able to laugh or walk anymore!”

Unimpressed, Xavier claims they will become the 12-time WWE Tag Team Champions.

1st Match
Raw Tag Team Championship
AJ Styles & Omos (c) def.The New Day: Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods after the Phenomenal Forearm of Styles against Woods

Backstage: Sonya Deville tells Charlotte Flair that she understands her concerns and will think twice. Flair laughs when Adam Pearce walks into the room and wants to know what it’s about. Deville says it’s nothing to worry about. Pearce appreciates Deville’s commitment and her feedback, but she has been exceeding her limits lately.

Video: Eva Marie poses provocatively next to and on top of a Ferrari. She asks several times whether she has our attention now. Eva talks about her life and that she wants to give something back and influence others … The promo ends with the graphic: “The Eva-lution coming soon”.

Backstage: MVP (w / Bobby Lashley) talks to Kayla Braxton about today’s match between Strowman and Lashley. He praised the skills of Strowman and McIntyre, but you couldn’t compare both superstars to “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley. Lashely confirms that he is no ordinary man. Lashley also knows that he can lose his WrestleMania Backlash title without getting pinned, but he is by no means going to let that happen.

Backstage: Elias and Jaxson Ryker want revenge on The New Day and throw tomatoes at both of them from a distance. But their plan fails because they accidentally throw at Randy Orton. The Viper is very upset. Riddle drives by in a good mood on his scooter and says, “Hey, Randy!”

2. Match
Charlotte Flair defeated Dana Brooke (w / Mandy Rose) via abandonment in Figure Eight.

After the match: Charlotte does not loosen her grip. Then Mandy Rose storms into the ring and attacks “The Queen” first with a dropkick. This is followed by a running knee. Sonya Deville comes out and it goes into another commercial break.

After the break: Sonya Deville is in the ring with Charlotte Flair and announces that she is a WWE official and that Adam Pearce is on an equal footing. Because of this, she wants to allow Charlotte to make a suggestion. “The Queen” knows there is a match between Rhea Ripley and Asuka for the Raw Womens Championship.

But Deville can’t seriously tell her that WrestleMania Backlash would be bigger without her on the card. Flair reminds that she is an influencer and the most recognizable face of the Women’s Division. She is loved or hated in the Division, but everyone needs her. Flair urges Deville to let her take part in the Raw Women’s Championship Match at WrestleMania Backlash.

Charlotte gave Deville a convincing argument and because the male superstars are playing a triple threat match for the WWE Championship, Charlotte Flair will get the same opportunity. Thus, a Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match between Rhea Ripley (c), Asuka and Charlotte Flair will take place at WrestleMania Backlash.

Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley steps in the ring and remembers that she’s had a lot of flair, but this sucks. Charlotte didn’t participate in WrestleMania and there is a reason why nobody wants to see her in the match at WrestleMania Backlash because nobody likes Charlotte. Ripley brags about her victory over Asuka, but she can’t do anything with Triple Threat Matches because they are unfair in her opinion. But Ripley suspects that this is all part of Deville’s plan.

Asuka goes into the ring as well and she knows that she can defeat both women. Charlotte attacks Rhea when she once again complains about the situation. Ripley rolls out of the ring. Asuka uses the moment and beats Charlotte out of the rope.

Backstage: Kayla Braxton talks to Humberto Carrillo about what happened with Sheamus. A short video review follows. Carrillo knows what it feels like to be bullied, but he’s not going to let Sheamus disrespect him. Because of this, he will continue to take on Sheamus’ open challenges. Suddenly Carrillo is attacked and dispatched from behind by Sheamus. Sheamus thinks Carrillo may not be able to take on a challenge tonight, but there’s always a week to come .

Backstage: Adam Pearce confronts Sonya Deville and asks if he should go to a higher authority as they are way beyond abuse of power. Deville claims she texted Pearce which he allegedly did not receive. But she agrees with Pearce because they should make decisions together.

The Miz and John Morrison are in the ring for a promo. Morrison calls himself Johnny Drip Drip once again and The Miz complains about The New Day’s tomato throw from last week. As usual, The Miz brags and lists some of his accomplishments. In addition, Damian Priest left them no choice but to let Morrison beat them up with respect. Morrison babbles again about “Drip Drip” until the music of Damian Priest can be heard .

Pop-Up Video: Damian Priest praises The Miz’s great career and thought it was good to share the ring with him at Mania. The fact that The Miz was hit by tomatoes is nothing compared to what he’s up to, because Priest wants to break Miz’s jaw.

3rd Match
Damian Priest defeated John Morrison (w / The Miz) after the hit the Lights

Backstage: Mansoor signs a raw deal in Pearce’s office. Sheamus shows up and claims that accidents happen and that Carrillo will therefore not accept his open challenge. Sheamus thinks Mansoor is a new intern until he learns the Saudi Arabian wrestler is now a Raw Superstar too.

The Celtic Warrior makes fun of Mansoor and offers him his open challenge. Mansoor is ready. Sheamus leaves and Mansoor notices that things change a lot here on Raw. Pearce tells him he’d better get used to it …

Backstage: Kayla Braxton interviews MVP and he complains about Braun Strowman because, in his opinion, “The Monster Among Men” sneaked into the WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania Backlash. MVP thinks Lashley and McIntyre have a lot in common. So it wouldn’t surprise him if they teamed up and eliminated Strowman so they could play their rightful singles match.

4. Match
Tag Team Match
Lucha House Party: Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik defeated Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin after Metalik’s Rope Walk Elbow Drop against Benjamin

After the match: Alexander grabs a microphone and asks Benjamin for his attention. Both were Tag Team Champions a while ago and even worked for The Hurt Business. In the end, it’s no wonder they were kicked out of the group, as Benjamin had been the weak point at Hurt Business from day one. Alexander doesn’t want to waste his time with Benjamin anymore. Because of this, he stopped working with him.

Backstage: We see Angel Garza with a rose in his hand. Drew Gulak makes fun of Garza because although he is a womanizer, he cannot score points with any lady. Garza’s rose smells almost as bad as his win-lose statistics. Gulak challenged Garza to a match. Garza promises he’ll shove Gulak the Rose up the buttocks right after the match.

WWE congratulates The Rock on the continuation of its “Young Rock” series. NBC has commissioned a second season.

Backstage: Kayla Braxton speaks to Shelton Benjamin about Cedric Alexander’s comment. Benjamin makes it clear that he was able to survive in this business because he can take the heavy blows. He saw superstars like Alexander come and go. Alexander can do what he wants, but he will respect him …

5th match
Angel Garza defeated Drew Gulak after the Wing Clipper

After the match: Garza kept his promise and shoved the rose into Gulak’s pants. This is followed by a running kick from Garza against Gulak’s butt.

Backstage: Riddle drives his scooter to the Viking Raiders. After a short chat, Riddle meets Orton and calls him Bro. Orton says he’s not Riddle’s bro. Riddle compares himself to Orton because they have common interests, goals and are undefeated. Orton recalls that they have only won one match so far. However, they could win another one. Riddle wants to keep chattering, but Orton forbids him to shut up. Riddle follows this instruction.

What follows is a hype video about Braun Strowman.

6. Match
Tag Team Match
Randy Orton & Riddle defeated Jaxson Ryker & Elias after the RKO of Orton and the Floating Bro of Riddle against Elias

Backstage: In an interview with Kayla Braxton, Drew McIntyre talks about Mace and T-Bar. McIntyre wonders why they took off their stupid masks and kept their stupid names, and as for the WWE Champ, McIntyre has a clear goal because he’s going to smash Lashley’s head and win the WWE Championship back.

Braun Strowman shows up and brings the possibility into play that McIntyre and Lashley ally against him. Strowman claims once again that he earned his place and that there is nothing any of them can do to prevent him from becoming a WWE Champion.

Sheamus defeated Mansoor on DQ after Carrillo stormed into the ring and Sheamus dropped a kick

After the match: Carrillo can temporarily hit Sheamus. Sheamus knocks down Carrillo and then Mansoor with a brogue kick. Then he grabs his United States Champion title and holds it up victoriously.

Video: Alexa Bliss greets us with her doll Lilly in her playground. Both are having fun and can’t wait to tell the audience all about it …

Back from a commercial break: Alexa Bliss talks about Lilly and how great this doll thinks it is to see her favorite superstars up close. It’s a nightmare come true. Lilly also loves to play hide and seek, she has got her hands dirty many times and her favorite color is red.

Later on, Alexa notices that Lilly is speaking to her. She told her that a certain someone had staring little eyes, but she couldn’t tell who because it’s her dirty little secret. Finally, Alexa sings a song.
