USA Network will broadcast the 1,513th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw this Monday, May 23, 2022 live from the Ford Center in Evansville, IN.
Summary of WWE Monday Night Raw
Riddle opens the show and looks somewhat excited. He talks about Randy Orton, his friend and his mentor, having back problems with him.
“I knew Randy wouldn’t leave me alone because he knew what that fight meant to me, and to you guys,” he says.
He acknowledges that the Usos are a great team, but is upset that they lost to Roman Reigns’ interference. “I swear I’ll get my revenge on Roman, on Jimmy, on Jey, on the entire Bloodline,” Riddle says.
The Bro sends his love to Randy Orton, and asks people to stand up and chant RK-Bro, although he doesn’t know if the team will continue to be something in the future.
Before leaving, The Usos speak from the screen. They assure that Randy Orton will not fight again.
Riddle charges at The Usos as soon as they reach the ramp. Street Profits join the attack at the entrance. The fight hasn’t started yet.
– Riddle & Street Profits defeat Sami Zayn & The Usos. Riddle storms out from the start and attacks The Usos, ignoring Sami.
The Usos dominate Montez Ford until he manages to beat all three and take over from Riddle. Ford flies over The Usos at ringside.
Riddle applies an Orton-style DDT to Sami and prepares to finish him off. He is distracted by The Usos, who then leave the match. RKO Sami for the count of three.
Bobby Lashley comes out to the ring. He challenges Omos and MVP for tonight’s challenges. MVP goes out to respond with Omos.
“If it wasn’t for faulty equipment in the cage last week, we would have a different situation.” Lashley tells him to shut up, no one wants to hear it. Lashley challenges MVP to a match tonight.
The winner will choose the stipulation for the Lashley vs. We heard in Hell in a Cell. “I was responsible for your rise, it makes sense that I’d be the one to cause your downfall,” MVP replies.
Becky Lynch complains to Adam Pearce about his loss to Asuka last week. Adam says that.
It would be fair to have another Lynch vs. match tonight. Asuka. If Becky wins, she will be part of the title match at Hell in a Cell.
The Judgment Day go out to the ring.
Damian Priest takes the floor. He says that Edge saw that he and Rhea Ripley were different.
And led them to change. “You lack the courage to know who you are. We can help you, all of you. But first you have to help yourself,” says Priest.
Ripley sends a message to Liv Morgan. “Stop listening to people on Twitter. I might even forgive you.
Save yourself, like I did, by joining Judgment Day,” she closes.
Edge says that he sits on top because of his achievements.
They didn’t give him anything. “You are afraid of hard work and success,” Edge fires at the general public. Edge wonders who will be the next to join them.
He mentions Tommaso Ciampa, Corey Graves, Alexa Bliss among others. But he stops at Finn Balor, Liv Morgan and AJ Styles. “AJ, the decision is yours. Choose wisely,” he closes.
– Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley defeated AJ Styles & Liv Morgan. Priest dominates AJ at the start of the match. Liv and AJ respond.
At ringside, taking control of the match. Ripley knocks Liv back into the ring with a kick to the head. Liv connects another Hurricanrana and searches for the account to no avail.
Liv looks for her shot but Edge grabs Rhea from ringside to prevent her from receiving it. Rhea takes the opportunity to cover Liv.
And take the victory.The Judgment Day continue to attack AJ Styles and Liv Morgan after the match.
Jerry Lawler invites Veer Mahaan to his King’s Court. Jerry asks a question, Veer doesn’t answer. He asks why he has targeted the Mysterios, Veer glares at him and still doesn’t speak.
“Maybe it’s because of the things Dominik said about you,” Jerry says and makes jokes about Veer.
“I’m not here to make jokes. Rey Mysterio is a legend, but he is too busy with his son.
Dominik,” he says. Veer gets fed up with Lawler’s jokes. “If instead of explaining who I am, I show you?” asks Veer threateningly.
Rey and Dominik Mysterio go out to stop Veer. Mahaan puts them in the ring, but the Mysterios respond with flights and kicks to stop him. Veer yells at them angrily and leaves.
Alexa Bliss is interviewed. Alexa talks about Sonya Deville, saying that maybe she should go to therapy. “It helped me a lot,” she says. Says she is glad to be back and to fight with Nikki ASH.
– Alexa Bliss defeats Nikki ASH. Alexa dominates Nikki at first. Nikki responds by knocking down and hitting Alexa several times.
She smashes it against the cornerback and looks for the account. Bliss reacts, Nikki sends her back to the corner.
Nikki looks for a Superplex, but she gets distracted by posing. Alexa takes her down, prevents her from coming back with a kick, and applies the Twisted Bliss for the win.
Seth Rollins is interviewed. He says that before he used to hear his name being sung every day in every city, but now they only shout for Cody. “That makes me sick,” says Seth.
Asuka is interviewed backstage. She says that Becky Lynch wasn’t ready for Asuka because she was too busy crying, and she starts teasing her by pretending she’s crying. “Tonight I will defeat her again,” she states.
– Cody Rhodes defeats The Miz by disqualification. Cody dominates the first minutes of the fight. Miz tries a Figure Four after a Sunset Flip, but Cody escapes and lands several kicks.
Rhodes closes a Figure Four Leglock on Miz, who with effort reaches the ropes and leaves the ring. Cody looks for height but Seth Rollins appears and pushes him.
Seth Rollins and The Miz continue to attack Cody. Bruises his knee against the metal steps. He steals a kid’s belt that Cody gave him as he walked in. Rollins attacks Cody with the belt!
– Ezekiel defeats Chad Gable. Kevin Owens yells at Ezekiel during the match, stating that he is Elias.
Chad and Ezekiel have an even match. Otis takes Ezekiel’s foot from ringside and Chad takes the opportunity to punish his leg. Otis climbs to the edge of the ring.
The referee argues with him and throws him out. Kevin Owens goes up to the ring and the referee also throws him out. Ezekiel surprises Chad with a pin and wins.
After the fight, Kevin Owens takes the microphone. “I don’t care what your name is, I’m fed up and I want to finish you off,” he yells at Ezekiel. KO challenges him to a match at WWE Hell in a Cell.
– MVP defeats Bobby Lashley by count out. MVP avoids direct confrontation with Lashley.
Getting out of the ring and going against the ropes. He distracts the referee, Omos takes the opportunity to hit Bobby.
Lashley takes MVP out of the ring, carries him on his shoulders and stamps against the post. Bobby gets distracted by Omos and gets the count of ten.
MVP and Omos will decide the stipulation for the match with Bobby Lashley at Hell in a Cell. Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair steps out to watch the next match.
– Becky Lynch defeats Asuka. Asuka gets the better of Becky at the start of the match. She reaches for an Armbar but Lynch hits the ropes.
Becky goes on the attack after the break, knocking Asuka out of the ring. Asuka blocks a kick, connects a Suplex and a Knee Strike for the count of two.
Becky looks for height, Asuka stops her with a Superplex. She counts in two! Hip Attack to get Becky out of the ring. Asuka lands a knee at ringside.
Becky falls on Bianca who is sitting there. Asuka mistakenly kicks Bianca and returns to the ring just in time. Becky greets her with a quick pin and takes the win.
With this victory, Becky Lynch joins the match for the Raw Women’s Championship in WWE Hell in a Cell. Bianca Belair vs. Asuka vs. Becky Lynch.
