WWE Raw Result: Live Result & Highlight, Winner & Grade – 23rd August 2021
WWE Raw Result: WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP come out, followed by a video recap of the Lashley-Goldberg match at SummerSlam.
Back in the ring: the crowd boos MVP and Lashley. MVP knew that Goldberg was a worthy challenger, but neither of them expected that he would bring his son Gage with him.
Perhaps Goldberg needed extra confidence or a distraction. MVP admits that Goldberg looked impressive. Lashley seems to see it differently. MVP claims that Lashley dominated Goldberg and is the only man who could ever stop Goldberg. Ultimately, Goldberg gave up and that made him a coward.
The audience chants “GOLDBERG”. After the match, Lashley was attacked by Goldberg’s son, whom he also dubbed a coward. Lashley did to Gage what he would have done to anyone who tried to attack him. Here in San Diego, nobody has to worry about an attack on Lashley, since only cowards live here and anyone who thinks that Gage or Goldberg should get an apology should go to hell.
Reigning US Champion Damian Priest comes out and interrupts the promo. Priest thinks it’s funny that they call Goldberg a coward even though Lashley attacked him after the match. Priest challenges Lashley to a singles match and if he doesn’t accept his challenge, he’ll be the coward.
Lashley starts an attack on Priest, but Priest fends off the attack and throws the WWE Champ out of the ring. MVP accepts Priest’s challenge for a match against Lashley.

Damian Priest defeated Bobby Lashley (w / MVP) by DQ after Sheamus intervened and attacked Priest
After the match: Sheamus and Lashley beat Priest until McIntyre makes the save. Priest promotes Sheamus over the ring fence while McIntyre suplexes Lashley in front of the ring. McIntyre then sends Lashley to the commentary desk with another suplex. (Note: The first suplex performed almost injured him because Lashley was apparently unprepared). These actions lead to the next match.

Damian Priest & Drew McIntyre def.Bobby Lashley (w / MVP) & Sheamus after a Claymore Kick from McIntyre against Sheamus – before that Lashley abandoned Sheamus
Video review: Doudrop ended his friendship with Eva Marie at SummerSlam.

Backstage: Doudrop tells Sarah Schreiber in an interview that it was a mistake to ally with Eva Marie. Marie helped her get started, but she’s not here to be a doormat. Marie tried to humiliate her by naming her “Doudrop”, but in the end she liked the name and wanted to keep it. Doudrop decided to drop Marie.
Suddenly Eva Marie is attacked. Eva pushes Doudrop’s head against an equipment box. “That’s Eva-lution,” says Eva and walks away.
Before the next match: Karrion Kross walks out in gladiator clothing.
3rd match
Karrion Kross defeated Ricochet by giving up in the Kross Jacket
Video review: Paul Logan insulted Baron Corbin in the backstage area at SummerSlam.
Backstage: Angry Sheamus confronts Lashley to discuss the Damian Priest & Drew McIntyre match. The two argue until MVP convinces Sheamus to withdraw.
In-Ring: John Morrison’s MoistTV with guest Logan Paul

Paul is booed loudly by the audience. The social media star then says he loves the audience and the WWE, but continues to be booed.
The Miz comes out and explains that Morrison forgot to introduce him – he claims he’s Paul’s favorite, but Paul says he’s more of a New Day fan. Paul tries to talk about his boxing matches, but the audience continues to boo him mercilessly and chants “YOU S * CK!”
The Miz wants to know in which round Jake Paul (who will play his next boxing match on August 29) will be knocked out – the audience cheers. Logan makes it clear that Jake will win and if Miz asks one more question, he would be knocked out too. Miz tells Logan to leave.
Morrison wants to appease the situation and asks Miz not to relate everything. Miz sees it differently and wants a little more gratitude, after all, he got Morrison MoistTV.
Paul Logan withdraws while The Miz and Morrison continue their argument. Xavier Woods comes out and after a brief encounter with Logan Paul on the stage, Woods walks into the ring.

Xavier Woods def.The Miz (w / John Morrison) via rollup – The Miz rolled up Xavier, but the referee was distracted by Morrison when the referee turned, rolled up Woods Miz and won – during the match, Morrison made the floor for one Action by The Miz against Woods wet, but this countered and sent The Miz over the water lane against the ring stairs
After the match: John Morrison apologizes to The Miz. Both grab drip sticks to get the audience wet.
Suddenly, Morrison is attacked by The Miz. The Moneymaker incapacitates Morrison with a skull crushing final. The audience boos The Miz and chants “WHY MIZ WHY”.
Video Recap: Charlotte Flair defeated Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley in SummerSlam to win the Raw Women’s Championship.
Earlier Today Video: We see the arrival of Rhea Ripley. Nikki Cross runs up to her and asks if she would like to be her partner against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. For Ripley, defeating Jax and Baszler would be a nice consolation prize.

Video: Reigning 24/7 Champ Reggie finds himself in a park again and mentions that he couldn’t buy ice cream from the ice cream truck as a kid. Reggie is now standing in front of an ice cream van and gives his camouflaged pursuers R-Truth & Akira Tozawa an ice cream each.
However, this distraction only works for a short time. Reggie escapes into a tree. Then he jumps onto the roof of the ice cream truck before doing a somersault on the floor. Finally Reggie gets into the ice cream van and drives away. Truth and Tozawa have their usual argument.
Video Recap: Riddle and Randy Orton won the Raw Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam.
Backstage: Riddle prepares his buddy Randy Orton for their championship celebration. Orton stays calm, after all he doesn’t think much of surprises or celebrations and asks Riddle not to do anything stupid.
Pop-Up Video: Mansoor asks Ali not to interfere in his match as he wants to win the right way.
5th match
Mansoor (w / Mustafa Ali) defeated Jinder Mahal (w / Veer & Shanky) by DQ after Mansoor was continuously attacked by Mahal in the corner of the ring
After the match: Ali watches as Mahal Mansoor continues to attack. After the attack, Ali goes into the ring and tells Mansoor that they should do things his way.
Backstage: Damian Priest thanks Drew McIntyre for covering his back. McIntyre congratulates Priest on defeating Sheamus. Priest mentions that he has dreamed of winning the United States Champion title since childhood and now it feels like he is living a dream.
McIntyre remembers the many pints he and Sheamus drank in San Diego. Mcintyre invites Priest for a beer, because he wants to see if he can compete with him.

In-Ring: New Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair steps into the ring to talk about her twelfth title win. She goes through the list of her titles without mentioning her NXT title reigns. The Queen is surprised because she actually expected the fans to have a statue made of her. Charlotte doesn’t need friends, family, or fans. She holds up her title and makes it clear that this is all she needs.
Flair’s music sounds and a little pyro follows. After that, she brags one more time about being the Raw Women’s Champion. She is there to restore order and now it is time for a real woman to hold the title. In addition, she initiated the first evolution of women and now a new one is beginning. The fans might thank you now or later, but don’t forget to bow. “Long live the Queen!”
Suddenly the music from Alexa Bliss sounds and she goes out with her Lilly doll. “Congratulations, Charlotte! Lilly and I just wanted to say hello.” A longer eye contact follows between Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, while the Bliss theme is played in again.
Backstage: Baszler asks Jax if she would like to work with her or Flair. Jax explains how much she did while Charlotte stole her fame. Baszler thinks that happens when she forms a team with another person. They often quarrel, but no one can beat both of them as a team if they are on the same side. Baszler wants to go out and show why they are the unstoppable force. Jax agrees.
Video: The new Elias clears up. Before WWE stood for Walk With Elias, it stood for World Wrestling Entertainment. He conquered entertainment, but that’s not why he came to WWE because he’s here to conquer wrestling and become a champion. If he can do that, he can conquer the world. “Possibilities arise from the ashes.” Elias kneels in front of his tombstone and adds: “Old Elias is dead. Long live Elias, the WWE Superstar!” Elias puts on a white hat and walks away.

Rhea Ripley & Nikki A.S.H. defeated Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler after the Ripley Riptide against Baszler
Backstage: Morrison talks about the end of his relationship with The Miz. There will be no more Miz TV, no dirt sheet or music videos and in the next week he will end it all when he meets this devious son of a *** in the ring.
In-ring RK-Bro Championship Celebration
Riddle stands in the ring with balloons attached to the ring post. He talks about the “wild ride” RK-Bro has been through. Riddle introduced Randy Orton.
“The Viper” comes out, followed by a stage fireworks display. Riddle is over the moon and gives Orton a scooter with his name on it. Orton also shows Riddle how to open and close the scooter.
AJ Styles and Omos come out. Styles is a bit unusual. Orton didn’t give Riddle a gift or even a hug. Styles, however, has something he’d like to give Riddle – a Phenomenal Forearm. AJ Styles promises victory, just as it happened every time they stood in the ring together. Styles will defeat Riddle until he and Omos get their rematch for the Raw Tag Team Championship.

After the match: Orton knocks down Styles with an RKO. RK-Bro celebrate in the ring. That ends the show.
