WWE Friday Night Smackdown on 2nd April would be the second last Smackdown episode prior to the Wrestlemania event. Friday Night Smackdown would be held at the Tropicana Field in Florida and air live on 2nd April 8pm ET on the Peacock channel for the US viewers and on 3rd April 6:30am IST on the WWE network for the Indian viewers.
There is only one event confirmed as of now and none of the matches. Sami Zayn will be introducing Youtube influencer and star Logan Paul to the WWE Universe. Logan Paul will be interfering directly into the rivalry of Sami Zayn and his former friend Kevin Owens as the rumours suggest the appearance of Kevin Owens on the show hosted by Sami with Logan this Friday Night Smackdown.
Sami Zayn appeared on Kevin Owens show last week on Smackdown where he was challenged by Kevin Owens for a singles match at Wrestlemania to which Zayn agreed forcibly and then got beaten down by Kevin Owens.
This Friday Night Smackdown might also witness a standoff between Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan and The Royal Rumble 2021 winner Edge for one last time before their Triple Threat Match for the WWE Universal title on Wrestlemania.
Last week Edge beat Reigns, Bryan and Jey Uso with a steel chair and stood tall amongst the 3 n the ring. Edge has made his position perfectly clear by displaying his aggression and destroying anyone who comes his way be it Jey Uso or Daniel Bryan. Edge will only settle for the WWE Universal Championship now and not anything else.
One more possible encounter could be between Cesaro and Rollins. Last week after Seth Rollins got his rematch with Shinsuke Nakamura and defeated him, Cesaro appeared out of nowhere and attacked Seth Rollins from behind.
Rollins managed to escape there but fell prey to Cesaro’s Swing in the backstage. Cesaro and Seth Rollins later got confirmed to face each other at Wrestlemania in a singles match. Wrestlemania is still one week ago which means these encounters may not stop till Wrestlemania finally arrives.
