Summary WWE SmackDown August 11, 2023
Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair ended in a no contest after interference from Damage CTRL.
AJ Styles defeated Karrion Kross.
LA Knight defeated Top Dolla.
Rey Mysterio defeated Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship.

We quickly kick off the episode of SmackDown with action from the women’s division.
Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka
The two competitors struggle and push each other until The Empress is knocked down. Asuka kicks back before the first break of the night.
The Queen regains the advantage and applies several blows to the torso followed by a Clothesline. Charlotte spears her opponent with a Spear.
And sets her up for a Figure Eight. Damage CTRL appear on the scene and surround the ring. Asuka takes advantage of the distraction for a Facebuster.
Double kick from IYO Sky to both women in the ring! IYO, Dakota Kai and Bayley take the attention of the fight.

We review the main event of SummerSlam 2023, including Jimmy Uso’s betrayal of his brother Jey and Roman Reigns’ victory in Tribal Combat.
Santos Escobar is interviewed backstage. The LWO man feels confident, and assures him that tonight he will receive the fruit of his labor. Austin Theory attacks his opponent tonight! The champion crushes his leg with a trunk lid.
AJ Styles vs. Karrion Kross
The Phenomenal suffers the initial punishment with several blows to the chest and shoves towards the canvas. Styles recovers and throws.
Karrion towards ringside, but the latter catches him from the edge of the ring and takes him to the commentary table with a Firemen’s Carry.
AJ recovers after the commercial break and drives for a Forearm. Kross catches him in his Jacket, but his rival escapes and they both get tangled up.
In a Powerslam attempt. AJ makes the 450 Splash, but Scarlett places his guard’s foot on the ropes. Michin drives the oracle away. Styles resists the Saido Suplex and catches Kross for the Styles Clash. 1…2…3…

Backstage, Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits celebrate their alliance by reminiscing about the attack on the Good Brothers and.
The Brawling Brutes. The three men secure gold in their future, and promise that SmackDown will know of their power very soon.
Austin Theory attacks Santos Escobar again on the ramp! LWO run to help their partner. Given the pact between the two partners, Rey Mysterio is accepted to take Santos’ place in the starting match.
WWE United States Championship
Austin Theory vs. Mistery King
Rey maintains the advantage in the commercial break and takes several attacks against the canvas. Austin catches him on his shoulders.
But receives a surprise Powerbomb towards the corner. Mysterio manages to push him away for a 619.
He manages to leave him on the ropes for a second 619 and the Frog Splash. 1…2…3!
Winner and NEW CHAMPION: Rey Mysterio on a count of three
The Grayson Waller Effect is announced with the new champion Rey Mysterio for next week.
Roman Reigns comes on stage with Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. The Tribal Chief requests the presence of Jimmy Uso, who takes time to come.
On stage from the public area. “Let me be real: I owe you one,” Reigns says. To which Jimmy assures that he did nothing at SummerSlam to favor Roman.
Jey Uso enters the ring! “I’m going to throw 37 years away if you don’t tell me why you did it.” Jimmy claims that he was afraid of losing his brother.
If he became champion and tribal chief. “You would have inherited a power that would have corrupted you, like Roman Reigns did. He wasn’t going.
To live well with me if you became like him.” Jey just turns her back on his brother, who decides to leave the ring. Roman blames what happened.
To Jey, who gives him a Superkick. He only comes out in defense of his protégé, but takes another kick in response. Reigns is punished with a Spear and Jey charges Jimmy a Superkick.
“I’m out of The Bloodline, I’m out of SmackDown, and I’m out of WWE,” Jey says before walking out into the audience area.
