WWE Smackdown Result: The music from Edge sounds and the rated R superstar makes his way to the ring to great applause. A video looks back on Seth Rollins’ promo from the previous week.
Back in the ring: Edge sits down in the ring with a microphone and looks into the crowd while he mentions Seth Rollins. What Rollins said last week hit him. Edge remembers exactly how Rollins handled him in 2014. At the time, Edge was very worried about his future because he was thinking of his wife and children.
Rollins threatened it again last week. Edge knows the curb stomp is dangerous and could end his career. This would then affect the ability to raise his daughter.
Edge admits that Rollins’ is talented but pushed him into a dark corner – the audience cheers. Rollins helped Edge find a place in his heart where his blood was black. Edge knows he doesn’t just have to defeat Rollins now. He has to break it, humiliate it and burn it down.
Backstage: Rey and Dominik Mysterio are having a conversation. Dominik is sure that Rey will beat Jey tonight and they will win the titles. Rey asks his son to focus on tonight’s match. Dominik remembers that they won last week. Rey admits that he was pretty tough on Dominik and wants him to take care of himself tonight.

1st match
Jey Uso (w / Jimmy Uso) defeated Rey Mysterio (w / Dominik) after a top rope splash – before Dominik intervened in the match because he wanted to support his father, but the referee noticed and wanted to send Dominik to the backstage area, then the Mysterios were attacked by the Usos
Video recap: Kevin Owens defeated Kevin Owens last week. In the backstage area, Corbin Big E’s Money In The Bank stole suitcases.
Before the next match: Baron Corbin brings the stolen Money in the Bank suitcase to the ring.
2nd match
Baron Corbin defeated Kevin Owens by DQ, at the end of the match Big E came out to get his suitcase back, when Corbin wanted to prevent this, Big E knocked him down, which led to disqualification
After the match: Corbin attacks Big E from behind, grabs the MITB suitcase and runs away.
Backstage: Kayla Braxton interviews SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. In a video review we see again the attack by Banks on Belair from last week. Braxton notes that Belair will get her chance to get revenge on Banks at SummerSlam tomorrow night. Belair hopes Banks will watch tonight as she will take care of Zelina Vega and Carmella afterwards.

Shotzi & Nox defeated Tamina & Natalya via Shotzi against Natalya via Rollup
In-ring: Seth Rollins walks into the ring in a white suit to respond to today’s statement from Edge while the audience chants “WE WANT EDGE”. Rollins doesn’t feel bothered by this and makes fun of Edge until the audience chants “EDGE”.
Now Rollins gets angry and yells at the audience to listen. This is followed by a “YOU S * CK” chant. Edge is not at his level, according to Rollins. However, there is no shame in not finding your own darkness when you are a family man.
Suddenly the Entrance Theme from “The Brood” sounds and the lights turn red. Edge appears on the big video screen and tells Rollins to be careful as the freaks come out at night. Rollins won’t see it coming.
Suddenly a dark liquid falls from the top into the ring on Rollins’. With that, Rollins got the legendary Brood bloodbath. McAfee called it “Brood Bad”.
The commentators go through the SummerSlam match card.
4th match
Otis (w / Chad Gable) defeated Montez Ford (w / Angelo Dawkins) after the Vader Bomb – Gable tried to intervene during the match, then Dawkins pushed him into the ring

King Nakamura & Rick Boogs def.Apollo Crews & Commander Azeez after a Pump Handle Lift Powerslam by Boogs against Crews
After the match: Boogs, McAfee and King Nakamura celebrate victory together.
Video recap: Sasha Banks attacked Bianca Belair last week.
Before the next match: Zelina Vega and Carmella come out and have a discussion about who will face Bianca Belair first. Carmella gestured to step into the ring, but promoted Vega into the ring.

Bianca Belair defeated Zelina Vega after the KOD – during the match Carmella created a distraction
After the match: Carmella storms into the ring and attacks Belair.

Bianca Belair defeated Carmella after a spinebuster and the KOD
In-ring: Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman go into the ring to loud boos. Cena, on the other hand, came out to great applause from the fans. A short “CENA” chant follows before dueling “LET`S GO ROMAN” and “LET`S GO CENA” chants.
When Reigns wants to say something, the audience boos. Reigns claims that Cena lied and said some stupid things over the past week. He’s upset because Cena thinks he can pin him 1-2-3. Heyman makes it clear that this version of Roman Reigns is invincible.
Cena notes that a month ago everyone believed that Reigns would beat him at SummerSlam because he was going to be making a movie. The movie part is true, but Reigns won’t keep his title. Cena will win the title and then make the film. All he needs is a distraction so he can defeat Reigns 1-2-3. The audience chants “CENA” again. Cena promises to win the title and then not return until WrestleMania in Dallas.
Reigns pokes fun at Cena before the “Tribal Chief” makes it clear that he can always go to Hollywood to star in films and because they are in Vegas tomorrow night he wants to raise his stakes and so Reigns promises to win the match against Cena because otherwise he would be leaving the WWE.
Reigns wants to seal this with a handshake. They both shake hands as Reigns tries to attack Cena. Cena countered and symbolically rolled Reigns up to prove that he can defeat him.
Finally, Cena goes to the stage and indicates 1-2-3 again. With the furious Reigns, the final Friday Night SmackDown ends before this year’s SummerSlam.
