WWE Smackdown Result : Live SmackDown Results, Highlights, Winner, Grade & Analysis – 30th July 2021

WWE Smackdown Result: While John Cena makes his way to the ring, a video review of the events from the previous week follows. Roman Reigns turned down John Cena’s challenge.

Then Finn Bálor challenged the “Tribal Chief” and he accepted the challenge.

Back in the ring: John mentions today’s contract signing and the match between Reigns and Bálor at this year’s SummerSlam. Incidentally, this is further proof that Reigns is only a scared little kid.

Cena doesn’t have a problem with rejection, but he does have a problem with Reigns rejecting him for not changing his look.

He thinks that’s stupid. It would be like asking Steve Austin to return to WWE as Sasquatch Steve Houston or The Rock as Dwayne ‘Too Small’ Johnson.

In the following, Cena describes Reigns as a lazy henchman named Joe, who gets by with every gimmick in the system and is nothing more than a blood-sucking product of the machine that is very afraid of failure.

“Roman, I would have embarrassed you at SummerSlam and you know that. You didn’t reject me because I look like that. You are afraid to fight me because you are afraid of what I will make you look!”  Cena drops the microphone and is cheered.

Baron Corbin comes out and wants to talk to Cena – the audience mocks Corbin with a loud “YOU S * CK” chant.  At first Cena pretended not to know who Corbin is.  Until he told him he looked terrible.

Corbin mentions that the two have never been close, but he’s desperate and his life is falling apart. Corbin goes down the list of his problems, adding the injury he sustained to a very sensitive part of his body.

Since then he has not been able to perform and his wife left him and took the children with her.  Corbin asks Cena if he can help him.

Cena asks the audience if they should help Corbin.  Cena takes some cash out of his pocket and hands it to Corbin while saying that’s all he has with him.  “Is that all?” Asks Corbin and can hardly believe this, after all, Cena is a Hollywood star.  Corbin asks Cena to use him on “Suicide Squad”.

Cena is promoting the film briefly, while Corbin offers himself as a stunt double for Cena. But when Cena refused, Corbin described him as a Hollywood traitor.

Cena would like to give Corbin something that he really needs.  An attitude adjustment!  After this announcement, Cena lets his finisher follow against Corbin.

After that, Cena picks up the cash and puts it in Corbin’s pocket before leaving the ring.

In-Ring: SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair was introduced by ring announcer Greg Hamilton.  Kayla Braxton is in the ring for the interview with Bianca Belair.  Belair has now been champion for 110 days.

Belair talks about her title defense at Rolling Loud, winning an ESPY, her appearance in the main event at WrestleMania and what it’s like to be in front of the fans again. Bianca Belair doesn’t know how to top that.

Carmella interrupts Belair and mockingly congratulates her on reaching 100 days.  However, she demands another title match if Belair wants to increase her legacy, after all, she has held the title for 130 days.

Carmella steps into the ring claiming Belair knows she deserves another match.  Carmella tries to explain her last week’s loss to Bianca Belair.

Zelina Vega comes out and says Carmella is too pretty to be a three-time loser.  Vega walks in the ring thinking fans want to see Belair versus a rising star.  Vega therefore urges Belair to accept their challenge.

Belair accepts Vega’s challenge and angry Carmella beats the SmackDown Women’s Champion from behind.

Sasha Banks storms into the ring, incapacitating Carmella and Zelina Vega.  Then “The Boss” hugs Belair.  Sasha holds up Belair’s hand before they hug again.  Belair and Banks dance at the end.

Video recap: Highlights are shown from Reginald, who won the WWE 24/7 Championship on Raw two weeks ago by defeating Akira Tozawa.

Backstage: Reginald wants to be called Reggie by Kayla Braxton.  He doesn’t know who his opponent today is, but he is glad that the match is taking place in a ring, otherwise he has to remain constantly vigilant.  Whoever challenges him tonight should expect the unexpected.

In-ring: Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are in the ring to sign the contract, where there is also a table and chairs.  Pearce admitted that there are often fistfights when signing WWE contracts.  Both are present to ensure that the contract is signed.

Finn Bálor and Roman Reigns (w / Paul Heyman) come out one after the other and the audience boos Reigns before Pearce asks both superstars to look at the contract and sign it – a “CENA” chant breaks out.

Heyman hands the microphone to Reigns, who says, “We saw Mr. Missionary tonight.”  Reigns asked Bálor if he had heard the opening promo from Cena.  He claims Reigns would shirk him because he accepted the match against Bálor.  Cena thinks he’s better than Bálor.

Reigns makes it clear to Bálor that if he signs the contract – he will beat him up and send him back to NXT.  A “ROMAN S * CKS” chant breaks out.  Reigns wordlessly signs the contract.

Bálor notes that Reigns thinks a lot and maybe rightly so, but it would be a privilege for him to return to NXT as a Universal Champion.

Suddenly Bálor is attacked from behind by Baron Corbin. Corbin brings Bálor out of the ring and, after a brief attack, promotes him over the commentary table.  Corbin returned to the ring and wants to sign the contract, but Cena storms out and sends Corbin out of the ring.

Cena picks up the contract and looked into the crowd before scribbling his last name in large letters on the contract.  Reigns remains seated in his chair and looks very unhappy, while Heyman is shocked.

After a commercial break in the backstage area: Paul Heyman speaks to Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville about the signed contract with John Cena.  Heyman points out that Bálor’s name is on the contract that Cena signed.  Heyman does not consider the signature to be binding. Pearce, on the other hand, sees Reigns and Cena’s signature and that is enough in his opinion.  Deville adds that Reigns will risk the WWE Universal Championship against John Cena at SummerSlam.

3rd match
Six-Man Tag Team Match
Big E, Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura (w / Rick Boogs) defeated Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode & Apollo Crews (w / Commander Azeez) after the Kinshasa of Nakamura against Crews – during the match Boogs played his guitar to distract crews, but Azeez  then promoted Boogs against the commentator’s desk.

Video review of the events between Edge and Seth Rollins … Edge moves in while there is another commercial break.

Seth Rollins is in the ring showing what happened during the commercial break. Seth Rollins attacks Edge as he moves in. Rollins grabbed a TV camera and used it on the stage against the rated R superstar. A producer and referee took care of Edge.

Back in the ring: Rollins claims that Edge kept stealing something from him and he’s had enough of it now. Rollins plays a video and in it we see how upset he was that Edge got the chance for the Universal Champion title at Money in the Bank. Rollins ultimately cost Edge the match.

Back in the ring: Rollins is proud of what he did, after all, it was the right thing. Rollins sees itself as the rightful legacy of the Universal Championship. “If I can’t be the Universal Champion, then it can’t be Edge either!” Says Rollins – before he leaves the ring.
