WWE SummerSlam 2021: 5 major WWE superstars to return at SummerSlam 2021| Check Names

WWE SummerSlam 2021: WWE returned to the road this Friday. SmackDown was the starting gun and the arrival, hopefully definitive, of normality.

17 long months later, we will have a full-capacity venue at a Vince McMahon company show. The return of the public has been seen as extremely important in many sports, but in wrestling it is capital.

The fan claps, boos, and allows us to understand where the stories and characters are going. It’s the metronome and WWE knows it. That is why they see this as the reset to their programming.

SummerSlam is expected to be the biggest event of the year, and MITB will show us the cards in the deck. It’s the turning point and the perfect time for all-star fighters to get back on schedule. And these are the 5 possible returns to WWE at SummerSlam 2021 (with bonus track).

Sasha banks

The Boss lost in the main event on night 1 of WrestleMania 37 to Bianca Belair and took a well-deserved break. It came from being capital in the middle of a pandemic, from carrying the weight of the company with Bayley and from generating a rivalry that culminated in Hell In A Cell.

From there, she feuded with Carmella and dedicated himself to making WWE EST the best challenger possible. With obstacles included (Baszler, Jax, Reginald), but he succeeded. In fact, Banks and Belair received an ESPY award for WWE’s best moment.

She is a total superstar, she seems destined to shine in Hollywood and to exercise her position as The Standard and The Blueprint from a part-time fighter perspective. WWE must take advantage of Banks’ presence while it can. Maybe as a bar for rising superstars. Her arrival would be a great incentive for the public that returns to the stadiums.

The Fiend

Disappeared since April, in a cartoon of the Firefly Fun House that did not make us predict this hiatus and where he separated, de facto, from Alexa Bliss. A few months later, the mystery continues.

Not only because of his paranormal character and how the story has been losing weight without him, but because of the constant rumors about his personal situation. The Fiend is a double-edged sword . He is a complex character and one that WWE has not known how to handle in the ring.

Against Seth Rollins (Hell In A Cell 2019), Goldberg (Super ShowDown 2020) or Randy Orton (WrestleMania 37) we saw it. The question lies in how he can turn the screw of the created universe and if he can return in optimal physical form. His return could help establish, The Undertaker-style, fiefdoms outside the title scene and talent near the top card.

Brock Lesnar

The Incarnate Beast. The devil on earth. And now, with long hair and a beard included, the assassin Viking. His last match was in March 2020, at which point he lost the WWE title to Drew McIntyre. A year and a half later, Lesnar is still on everyone’s lips.

His possible presence becomes a dazzling media spotlight. Three minutes of combat, very sporadic appearances, theft of opportunities from other talents … It matters little. When Lesnar arrives, the world watches.

This is how capital it is. The latest information spoke with caution of his return. It has even been claimed that a return to WWE in the next month (MITB, SummerSlam) would not be possible. The truth is that, although the possibility is tiny, that Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar does not go out of our heads.

Becky lynch

A vacant title, a pregnancy, and over a year later, Becky Lynch is poised to make a comeback. Her postpartum training photos confirm that she is in the best physical shape of her career. She was seen at the Performance Center a month ago and was backstage at Hell In A Cell. In all this time it has not lost an iota of popularity.

Her voiced the British promo for McGregor vs. Poirier has not stopped receiving accolades from the biggest superstars in the business and has had time to support charitable causes. Various sources claim that The Man will be at Money In The Bank. The truth is that a hungry, eager, renewed Lynch is expected at the top and with a clear objective: to re-float a Raw women’s division that was diluted with her departure.

John Cena

If anyone can go back and change everything, it’s John Cena. Loved and hated in equal parts, the now Hollywood star has repeated on several occasions that he wants to return to the ring. His last match was a critically acclaimed Firefly Fun House Match, but audiences haven’t seen his match live since January 2019.

He is one of WWE’s flagships and the perennial face of the company. Multiple titles, legendary rivalries and iconic moments behind him. Few names emerge, except for The Rock, that are more transcendental and important. His return would make WWE shows a sine qua non. And Vince McMahon understands that this is so. The filming of the film ‘Argylle’, which begins in August, is the only thing that can deprive the fan of having the Cenation leader back.

If they manage to overcome that obstacle , and taking into account the superstars of today (Roman Reigns, Edge, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre …), the show is served .

Bonus track: Goldberg

We recently learned of a piece of information from Fightful that, if fulfilled, would disrupt half of the plans in this article. Goldberg would be chosen to fight Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam . If so, he would spend the second and last fight of his annual contract (the first of them was against Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble).

There is little to say about a 54-year-old fighter who has not been up to par, who received a Universal title out of nowhere in Saudi Arabia and who does not arrive to help superstars full time, but to enhance his figure .
