The Animal” Batista, who retired a couple years ago following his final match with “The Game” Triple H at WrestleMania 35, will be starring in the next installment of the THOR trilogy, “Love & Thunder”. When a fan asked if Batista would be available for WrestleMania 37, Mike Johnson from Pwinsider made the following statement:
“He’s in Australia filming the new Thor film and he’s retired. I don’t see that happening, not as a big part of Mania.”
WWE is trying to bring in the biggest names possible for WrestleMania. Batista retired from in-ring action, but is there a chance he could show up at WrestleMania 37?
During PW Insider Elite Radio, Mike Johnson was asked if Batista has a shot at making WrestleMania this year. Johnson revealed that The Animal isn’t even in the United States. Right now Batista is playing Drax The Destroyer in the new Thor movie.
Thor teamed up with the Guardians of the Galaxy at the end of End Game. It opened the door for plenty of stories to come. Batista will be featured in the new Thor movie, and he’ll be portraying that part whenever needed. That being said, WrestleMania isn’t happening for him this year.
The Warner Bros. – HBO Max release also includes the Dune movie, which stars WWE Hall of Famer Batista. The adaptation of the classic science fiction novel of the same name is scheduled to be released on October 1, 2021. Batista stars as the Glossu “Beast” Rabba character in the movie.
The domestic releases to HBO Max will only be for the first month from their release dates. After that month is up the movies will no longer be available on the streaming platform, but they will continue to be available in theaters across the world, with all standard distribution time-frames applied.
