WWE Wrestlemania Backlash Predictions: Updated Match Card, Championship matches| All You Need To Know

This weekend a new WWE Premium Live Event is celebrated and, as it could not be less, we ventured to find out the forecast with our predictions article.

Based on rumors and sensations, I leave you my opinion on what could happen in WrestleMania Backlash 2022.

Happy Corbin vs. mad cap moss

It is probably the least interesting fight on the card. Following Happy Corbin’s loss at WrestleMania to Drew McIntyre, Madcap Moss changed his target and turned on his best friend to date.

Corbin, despite being one of the most used talents in the WWE ring, has not wrestled since then, and has focused on promoting Moss.

A priori, Moss is the betting favourite, but I think his little push won’t go far and Corbin is still a much more useful talent.

Vince smells it and that’s why I think Corbin should make a splash and take the win this time.
Winner: Happy Corbin.

omos vs. bobby lashley

The All Mighty reappeared before WrestleMania as a babyface and began to rival Omos without remembering how he left:

losing the title to Brock Lesnar in Elimination Chamber, without even being able to defend him properly.

With The Beast out of action and with Cody Rhodes acting as Raw’s babyface – as much as they say that Lashley is number one –

It suggests that this rivalry will extend, at least, until Hell in a Cell (June 5). Omos shouldn’t lose again.

If they want to keep him relevant on the roster. He already did it at WrestleMania and on a later Raw-stupidly-in an arm-wrestling competition.

That means he has all the numbers to take the win at WrestleMania Backlash.
Winner: Omos.

AJ Styles vs. Edge

We continue to analyze the billboard with one of the 4 claims of this show. Damien Priest is out of the equation; he will not be able to accompany Edge.

He lost that option on Monday Night Raw when Judgment Day played out that stipulation in a match between Priest and Styles.

That absence is key for what can happen here. I am convinced that it is a great opportunity to present the third member of the Edge stable.

The question is, who? Since the group’s inception, Tommaso Ciampa and Rhea Ripley have been tipped.

As possible sidekicks, but each has their own story right now, against Mustafa Ali and Liv Morgan respectively.

It’s possible? It is. But he smells of betrayal from Finn Bálor.
Winner: Edge.

Cody Rhodes vs. seth rollins

It is destined to be the fight that steals the show. At WrestleMania they put on a good show, with Seth Rollins being better, despite losing.

It seems that WWE is determined to give Rhodes a title opportunity in the not too distant future,

But I think that will happen when there is a new division of rosters, where the Unified Championship will probably be divided in two again.

It is one of the many rivalries that could have a second – third in this case – phase in Hell in a Cell.

Although everything indicates that Cody will take the cat to the water again. I wouldn’t mind if Seth won.

Their rivalry is special and both are showing that they can open and close Monday Night Raw every week.
Winner: Cody Rhodes.

I Quit Match

In a recent article I explained that Ronda Rousey was not being the same as her in her first stage, for various reasons.

I think she hasn’t reached that level yet, but it’s very likely that WWE wants to give her the SmackDown Women’s Championship anyway.

It is one more of the rivalries that could have its outcome in Hell in a Cell (or Money in The Bank), but in this case I do see a victory for “Rowdy”.

With the corresponding rematch for Flair in the following – or the following – Premium Live Event.
Winner: Ronda Rousey.

Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro vs. The Bloodlines

The stakes have completely changed since the introduction of Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns in this match.

Personally, a unification fight for the couples titles would have had more hook. If they needed to expose Roman Reigns to justify ticket sales.

They could have put him out with his cousins. Drew McIntyre has been added because he is the next opponent for The Tribal Chief.

Although I am afraid that was a premature decision, considering that there are two PPV events in between before SummerSlam.

But since they have decided, let them give a blow of effect. WWE lives not only on the image of its superstars, but on the news they generate. For me.

The news that would add extra impact to this show would be a face win with Drew McIntyre pinning Roman Reigns.
Winners: Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro.

Additional comments

Many have asked why WWE hasn’t added more matches to the card. If there are no matches

At the Kickoff Show, 6 matches will probably be enough. It’s not going to be a big pay-per-view.

So 2 hours and 45 minutes would be more than enough. In case of adding a fight to the Kickoff Show, whatever it is, Theory should be on the card.

He’s growing by leaps and bounds, he can buy time with one of his promos, and he could defend his title against Mustafa Ali.

Another option is Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley, but she looks more like an addition to Monday Night Raw right now.
