WWE Wrestlemania: The most emotional Wrestlemania matches of all time

WWE Wrestlemania being the flagship event by WWE has ended on emotional notes for a number of times. The Pre conceived notions amongst the WWE fans sometimes make it difficult for them to digest few Wrestlemania events.

Here are 3 of the emotional Wrestlemania matches of all time:

Shawn Michaels V/S Rick Flair

The HBK Shawn Michaels fought Rick Flair at the Wrestlemania 24th in a one on one match. It was a career threatening match for Rick Flair. The match implied that if Shawn Michaels won, Rick Flair’s career at the WWE as a wrestler would end.

The match was iconic in its sense where in the end Shawn Michaels was in the position of landing his super kick. Shawn didn’t wanted to end the match then but he had to do it. Shawn said, “I am sorry, I love you”, landed his super kick and won the match via pinfall. It was a heartbreaking moment for the WWE fans.

The Rock V/S John Cena

The Rock fought John Cena at the Wrestlemania 28th in a singles match. The duo became rivals the same year which was the reason of their brawl at Wrestlemania. Throughout the match, the competition between the two was really high.

Both superstars landed their series of moves and slams onto each other. Towards the end of the match, Cena imitated the Rock’s People’s Elbow. The Rock then outmanoeuvred Cena and landed his Rock bottom thereby winning the match. After the match, the fans saw Cena sitting outside the ring and were shattered with his loss.

Brock Lesnar V/S The Undertaker

The Beast Brock Lesnar broke the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at the Wrestlemania 30th. The Dead Man Undertaker fought Lesnar in a singles match. The match was brutal through and through. The Beast took a lot of beating from the Dead Man from his Slams to his submission holds.

As soon as Lesnar landed his 3rd F5 onto the Undertaker, The Dead Man couldn’t fight more. The moment the referee counted the 3rd fall, the fans stood up from their seats.

It was highly unexpected by the fans that the Undertaker could lose at Wrestlemania. Lesnar conquered the undefeated streak of 21 wins made by the Undertaker.
