Match Report
Morocco was the better side on the day as they threatened the Spain goal more than the Spanish side did to theirs.
Aguerd has his first chance to give Morocco the lead but missed from close range while Morata and Olmo had their chances for Spain as well.
Soler could have won the game in extra time for La Roja when he shot across goal, but his effort clipped the outer half of the post. Morocco’s Cheddira could have won the game as well but Simon saved his effort when he was one-on-one.
The African side showed guts, desire and plenty courage with a mighty fine display to help their side seal success and secure a 1st ever Q/F berth in the World Cup.
