Biggest Spenders in January 2023: The winter Transfer window came to a close yesterday as clubs finished their last-minute dealings.
It has always been known to all that the January Transfer market is a huge moment for all clubs to make last minute reinforcements.
This time as well clubs maximized the one-month window to the fullest by having many incomings and outgoings.
Without further ado, we look at the top 5 biggest spenders in January Transfer Market 2023.
Newcastle United

The Magpies spent a total of €49.3M in the January transfer window as they continued their rebuilding process.
Young right-back in Harrison Ashby and Everton’s Anthony Gordon were the movers to the Newcastle side.

Loris Karius and Garang Kuol were the other signings as well in this window with the former being a free agent while the latter coming on a loan deal.
AFC Bournemouth
The Cherries were in for the long haul in the market as well with them spending €58.2M.
Dango Ouattara, Darren Randolph, Antoine Semenyo and Illia Zabarnyi were the movers from Lorient, West Ham, Bristol and Kiev.
Vina and Traore moved on loan to the EPL side from Roma and Sassuolo.
Arsenal
The Gunners are flying at the top of the league table but aren’t ready to sit back on their laurels.
They too have added a total of 3 players to their squad in Jorginho, Trossard and Kiwior costing €60.3M.

Jorginho made the move on dead-line day from Chelsea with Arteta said to be a huge reason.
With such additions to the squad, Arsenal will surely look to go the distance.
Southampton
The Saints spent €63.2M in the transfer window with 5 players adding to the Southampton squad.
Orsic, Alcarez, Bree, Sulemana and Onuachu sealed moves to the Premier League side from across Europe.
Onuachu is a hot target this season as the striker brings bags of goal with him from Genk.

The Nigerian international left Genk this season scoring 16 goals in 19 league appearances and would be itching to continuing his form with the Saints.
The other acquisitions have been a positive one as well with Southampton staring down the barrel.
Southampton need all of them to fire as they hope to avoid the drop after being bottom for a while.
Chelsea
The Blues have hit the jackpot in the transfer window as they top the list with €329.5M spent.
Enzo Fernandez tops the list as the WC winning-Argentina younger became the most expensive EPL signing with his move.
Apart from him, 7 other players made the shift to London in Fofana, Badiashile, Santos, Mudryk, Madueke, Gusto and Felix (loan).
Chelsea’s struggles in the Premier League ensured they made the signings under new owner, Boehly.
The Blues’ expenditure is nearly half of what the entire Premier League has spent in this window.
