MUN vs LIV: Manchester United seek their first win of the season when they welcome rivals, Liverpool in the Premier League on Monday night.

It is for the first time in the history of the Premier League that United and Liverpool are still seeking a first victory in the league.

Manchester United have begun their worst ever start to the EPL being winless and at the bottom of the table.

United were thrashed by Brentford last week while Liverpool was held by Palace to a stalemate.

The Red Devils are searching for ways to succeed at the start which has left Ten Hag in need of desperate changes.

Today, we look at 5 changes that Ten Hag must make in the MUN vs LIV game if the hosts are to get their first three points of the season.

Drop Maguire and McFred

United Captain Maguire’s position has been left in a perilous spot after the Englishman began the season poorly.

In the two league matches, the new summer signing has been targeted by opposition due to his lack of height.

Lisandro’s short height has given attacking teams an opportunity to get one over him in aerial duels, leading to goals.

Raphael Varane came on in the 2nd half to replace the Argentine and did hold up the defence due to his experience and quality.

Drafting Varane into the playing 11 could just be the move required to provide stability to the United defence.

Rashford out Garnacho In

Marcus Rashford continued his poor run of form after poor displays in the first 2 matches.

The English has been given way too long a rope, where he hasn’t done justice with the performances.

Garnacho has impressed whenever given starts in pre-season. His quick-feet, fire and drive could boost the left-wing and can be a threat to the Liverpool defence.

A big match like this is a chance to impress and we believe Garnacho has the potential to showcase the same.

Hence, the winger should be drafted in for the Englishman, who seems to have recovered from his penalty miss in the Euro final.

Missing case of Van de Beek

The Netherlands international did not have a positive loan spell with the Toffees last season.

But with ETH’s arrival, he must have expected more chances to showcase his talent since he played under Ten Hag during his Ajax days and flourished.

A start for Van de Beek in this crucial chance could be the game changer for Manchester United’s seek of a first win this season.

The Danish international combining with Ronaldo could be the partnership that can help United click again, which sees Bruno dropped to the bench.

Erik Ten Hag has plenty to ponder ahead of the fixture, but such pragmatic changes could inspire the Red Devils.
