Previously he won the MVP award with 2 other teams that he played for i.e. Heat (2012- of 27.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists, 2013- 26.8 points, 8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists) and Cleveland (2016- 25.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists).

1) Top 5 in assists

Despite being 6’9 James is top passers not only in today’s league but ever. Currently, he ranks 8th in assist with 9,696 averages of 7.8 per game. The only active player that has more assists than him is Chris Paul (10,275). He needs 579 assists to take over Chris in no. 5th.

2) Top 10 in Steals

Averaging 1.1 steals per game this season, James (2,063 all-time) is set to run past Mookie (2,075) and Robertson (2,112) in the career steals category after 28 games. After striking them, the LA Lakers forward would approximately finish with 2,095 for his career and settle in the No. 11 or No. 10 positions on the all-time list by the end of the season.

3) No. 3 for free throw

James is the only active player in the top 5 with 7,582 free throws made and in the coming season. Meaning he is within striking distance of Oscar Robertson (7,694). If he shoots well he can surpass him and grab a spot at no. 3 this season for sure.

4) Top 5 in Minutes played

In the minutes played list, James is no.6 in the league’s history with 50055. James will pass Jason Kidd (50,111) and Kevin Garnett (50,418) for third place on the all-time list.

James has assembled 1,979 3-pointers so far, which places him on the 13th rank in the list of 2 pointers. If he continues to make an average of 1.5 threes per game, he would move ahead of Nowitzki (1,982) and Jason (1,988) to break into the NBA‘s top ten for most 3-point field goals made.
