Bajrang Punia wins fourth Bronze medal for India in Tokyo 2020, sixth medal overall
Bajrang Punia Bronze Medal: India has won another medal in wrestling at the Tokyo Olympics. India’s Bajrang Punia has won a bronze medal in the 65 kg weight category. In the bronze medal match, Bajrang defeated Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan 8-0.

India was hoping for a gold medal from Bajrang. However, in the semi-finals, he lost 12-5 to Azerbaijan.
In the bronze medal match, Bajrang was challenged by Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan. Both players were playing defensively early in the first round. The Kazakhstani player was challenged to score in 30 seconds due to his prolonged defensive play.

The Kazakhstani player could not stand the onslaught of Bajrang. In the end, Bajrang won the bronze medal by winning the match 8-0. This was India’s second medal in wrestling. Earlier, Ravi Kumar had won a silver medal for India.
