Belgium is set to be led by the Real Madrid winger, Eden Hazard in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The winger has seen a barrage of injuries ever since his move to Real Madrid but has managed to look after himself for the world event this time.

He alongside the 25-man squad for Belgium are as follows:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Simon Mignolet and Koen Casteels

Defenders: Tony Alderweireld, Arthur Theate, Zeno Debast, Jan Vertonghen, Thomas Meunier, Timothy Castagne and Wout Faes

Midfielders: Axel Witsel, Kevin De Bruyne, Youri Tielemans, Yannick Carrasco, Leandro Trossard, Amadou Onana, Leander Dendoncker, Hans Vanaken and Thorgan Hazard

Forwards: Lois Openda, Eden Hazard (C), Dries Mertens, Charles De Ketelaere, Michy Batshuayi, Romelu Lukaku and Jeremy Doku

Belgium secured a 3rd place finished in the Russia 2018 edition of the FIFA World Cup. Martinez hopes to see the ‘Golden Generation’ talent in probably their last chance inspire the squad to get their hands on a first ever FIFA World Cup.

The Red Devils in recent years have been packed with talent, quality and experience in abundance but have fallen short on the final stage in pressure moments.

This is their chance to once again shine and better their 2018 record with the help of De Bruyne, Lukaku and Co.

Belgium is part of Group H in the FIFA WC 2022 with Canada, Morocco and 2018 WC Runners-up, Croatia.

The fixtures are as follows:

24th November: Belgium vs Canada (12:30 AM IST), Ahmed bin Ali Stadium

27th November: Belgium vs Morocco (06:30 PM IST), Al Thumama Stadium

1st December: Croatia vs Belgium (08:30 PM IST), Ahmed bin Ali Stadium

Belgium needs to be well prepared in Qatar as this group looks a competitive one with Canada and Croatia being in good form.

Martinez aims to see his side reach the next stage of the competition but not without it a tough fight, given the quality and dearth of talent they possess.
