Gareth Bale is leading the line for Wales in his first ever FIFA World Cup after Wales made their last appearance way back in 1958.

In what is set to be a last World Cup for Bale as per recent reports, the ex-Tottenham player is hoping to have a glittering tournament in Qatar.

The 26-men squad for Wales in the FIFA WC are as follows:

Goalkeepers: Wayne Hennessey, Danny Ward and Adam Davies

Defenders: Ben Davies, Joe Rodon, Ben Cabango, Chris Mepham, Chris Gunter, Connor Roberts, Neco Williams, Ethan Ampadu and Tom Lockyer

Midfielders: Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen, Harry Wilson, Joe Morrell, Matthew Smith, Dylan Levitt, Sorba Thomas, Rubin Colwill and Jonny Williams

Forwards: Daniel James, Gareth Bale (C), Kieffer Moore and Brennan Johnson

There is a massive emphasis on the defenders for Page’s Welsh side as he picked up several Premier League players for the same.

Williams, Ampadu, Mepham are some of them who are set to take part for the Winter World Cup this time.

They once again will rely on the likes of Bale, Moore and James; who provide the pace and quality to threaten opposition defenders.

Wales is part of Group B in the FIFA World Cup 2022 alongside Iran, England and the U.S.A.

The fixtures are as follows:

25th November: Wales vs Iran (03:30 PM IST), Ahmed bin Ali Stadium

30th November: Wales vs England (12:30 AM IST), Ahmed bin Ali Stadium

It will be a tough ask for Wales to secure qualification for the knockouts as both Wales and England have shown spirit with recent performances and are in good form.

However, the WC always remains a stage to showcase potential and Wales aim to do the same after returning to the event after a 64-year absence.
