The German champions have beaten off competition from Chelsea and Liverpool and will sign one of the most sought-after defenders in David Upamecano from RB Lepizig, who will join Bayern Munich at the start of next season.
The French international will sign a 5-year deal and replace out of favor David Alaba at Bayern Munich. The current UEFA Champions League holders will play 42.5 million euros for the 22-year-old.
In other news, Angeliño will sign for RB Leipzig from Manchester City for 18 million euros in the summer. He had joined Leipzig on a season long loan in September 2020 and with good performances under his belt, the club has triggered his purchase clause to tie him down.
