Clippers make a superb comeback, beat Suns by 106-92 in Game 3; still 1-2 down in the series

Clippers 106-92 Suns: The Los Angeles Clippers won over the Phoenix Suns in the final game of the NBA Western Conference Finals. The Clippers won 106-92 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, Friday (25/6/2021), to reduce the score to 1-2.

Paul George scored the most points for the Clippers in the third game of the NBA Finals. The 31-year-old Shooting Guard had 27 points and 15 rebounds.

Reggei Jackson and Ivica Zubac also played a part in the Clippers win. They each contributed 27 points and 15 points.

In the Suns camp , Deandre Ayton became the top scorer with 18 points and nine rebounds. Devin Booker and Chris Paul also contributed 15 points each.

The course of the match

Playing away, the Suns opened the scoring through Deandre Ayton. However, Patrick Beverley’s three-pointer gave the Clippers a 5-2 lead.

Although the match was fierce, the Clippers continued to lead the points. Until the first quarter, the hosts won with a score of 29-21.

In the second quarter, two points from Mikal Bridges and a 3-pointer from Devin Booker brought the Suns down to 26-29. However, a free throw from Marcus Morris took the Clippers away with a score of 31-26.

Had equalized the score through the contribution of two points Torrey Craig, the Suns turned 35-33 lead with a throw Mikal Bridges.

Dunk Paul George makes the Clippers reduce the score. The Suns led 48-46 late in the second quarter.

Next quarter

In the third quarter, the Clippers rose. Contribution of points from Terance Mann made the Clippers turn to lead 56-53. Ivica Zubac’s dunk from Paul George’s pass brought the Clippers eight points ahead, 64-56.

The Clippers continue to dominate. Paul George’s three-pointer closed the quarter with a score of 80-69 for the Clippers’ lead.

Reggie Jackson continued to lead the Clippers with his points contribution in the fourth quarter. The Suns tried to bounce back through Devin Booker and Chris Paul, but their efforts were not enough.

An additional two points from Patrick Beverley ended the Suns’ resistance to lead the Clippers to a 106-92 win.
