CM Punk takes a dig on WWE following last night releasing of six WWE Superstars.

WWE News: The wrestling world suffered a new upheaval in the final moments when WWE announced a new massive wave of layoffs.

Superstars of the stature of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Murphy or Ruby Riott were confirmed in a list that many sources say would not be the first we will see this week.

One of the most prominent statements in the framework of this new “Black Wednesday” is that of former world champion CM Punk.

CM Punk Takes Shot on WWE

We previously reported that “The Best in the World” used its Twitter profile to publish an emoji of a hand saying goodbye, to which it has attached a GIF with a fragment of the movie Trading Places , where the protagonists sell their shares to the general revelry , alluding to rumors of a possible WWE sale.

But this was not the only reaction of the former fighter on his Twitter account. Responding to John Squires’ statements about how WWE wastes the talent it hires, CM Punk decided to make a more than curious comparison if we consider his history with the company.

“It’s like a movie with a multi-million dollar budget and casting, but written by a bunch of creative idiots with no ideas for an audience of one , and in a language no one understands anymore. It’s … rubbish. But people watch it because of them. I like to watch movies, “said Punk.

It is not the first time that the former world champion has spoken out against the creative decisions of WWE. CM Punk had already identified them as one of the reasons that led to his departure from the company in 2014 and his consequent retirement from wrestling.

Punk already warned that the only reason why he would return to fight would be “a good story that justifies his participation in a new fight.”
