Philadelphia 76ers advances to NBA Playoffs Semifinal after winning series over Washington Wizards by 4-1.
NBA Playoffs semi-final: Game 4 might have been bad for the 76ers but they made sure to bounce back and win the series against the wizards and will now be facing Hawks in the NBA Playoffs Semi-Final.
The 76ers lost their star, Joel Embiid due to a knee injury in Game 4. He fell apart in the second half that night and might have lost some hopes of making it out of the series. They allowed the Wizards to win Game 4 and extended their first-round series. But in Game 5, the 76ers who rolled into home gave their best and they are the 3rd team to make it out of the eastern conference round one.
It is not often that Seth Curry gets an opportunity to get featured billing for this team. But he gave the biggest challenges for this team all season. But with the 76ers who needed their MVP to shelf, it was Curry who rose out of the occasion on the offense and took advantage.

Curry smashed a career-playoff-high 30 points in Game 5. Curry said “We know we’ve got enough without Joel out there to win a few games, We don’t have a choice — we’ve got to have that confidence and believe. We’ve got a lot of confident guys. Joel has been huge for us all year. It’s only right for us to give him as much time as he needs to get back and help us win it all.”

Following Curry was Tobias Harris who went down to score 28 points. While Ben Simmons had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists in the win.

The head coach, Doc Rivers, and his staff looked at about 10 different starting lineups before they settled on putting forward Matisse Thybulle in the starting 5 and playing small and with more pace.
For the Wizards, The veteran guard matched Wizards star Bradley Beal shot for shot in scoring 30 points on 10 of 17 from the field, followed by Russell Westbrook who scored 24 points, and Rui Hachimura who scored 21 points. Apart from these three, all the players had single-digit points which resulted in the Wizards’ elimination.

Anywho, the 76ers will now face the Hawks in the NBA Playoffs Semifinal, who have become the 4th team from the eastern conference to advance in round 2.
