Novak Djokovic Wimbledon 2021: Serbian top seed Novak Djokovic beat Chilean Cristian Garín 6-2, 6-4 and 6-2 on Monday to advance to the Wimbledon quarterfinals in a new step in his tournament title defense grass.

The world number one, who won the last two men’s singles titles on the All England Club grass. He will play his 50th Grand Slam quarterfinal match when he faces Hungarian Marton Fucsovics. Who in another of the day’s matches he beat Russian Andrey Rublev 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-0 and 6-3.

Garin, 25, and 17th seeded, had never faced Djokovic on grass and was able to do little against the Serbian.

The Serb only lost 13 points on his serve and broke his rival’s serve five times to stay on track to a 20th Grand Slam title that would tie him with Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal for the most crowns in the big tournaments.

Novak Djokovic Wimbledon 2021 Power Run Continues
