UEFA & CONMEBOL may hold a joint competition together before WC 2025
UEFA and Conmebol leaders have put a very interesting idea on the table and that is that Euroamérica, A match that would face the Eurocup champion and the Copa América. It would arrive in the year 2025, one before the World Cup begins. Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The plan to create Euroamerica would consider as a substitute for the Confederations Cup. Where the champions of each confederation participated, plus the current world champion. And the organizing country, resulting in a battle between the 8 best teams in the world.
When and how would it get to Euroamerica?
According to the TNT Sports portal, Aleksandr Ceferin, president of UEFA and Alejandro Domínguez, of Conmebol, have already started contact to organize the 2025 edition. Which would be a preamble for the next World Cup.
It is important to specify that Euro-America was going to arrive in 2021. According to reports, after having the champions of the Eurocup and America’s Cup. But with the coronavirus pandemic, which postponed these tournaments, the organization of said match diminished and it was held to leave for 2025.
It is expected that the next editions of the European and South American tournament will take place as planned, in 2024.

What’s the Plan?
