Australia 1-0 Tunisia: Mitchell Duke scored the only goal of the game with a precise header as Australia beat Tunisia 1-0 in Group D on Saturday.
It was an intense clash where Tunisia tried their level best while Socceroos were resolute in ensuring another chance for seeking qualification to the next round.
FIRST HALF
It was a scrappy start to the contest as neither side were able to hold possession for a period.
Tunisia had the first opportunity on goal when Drager attempted a goal from 25-yards but his effort was over the top.
Australia drew first blood after a decent spell of possession when Duke headed home for 1-0.
Goodwin came down the left flank after which he drilled a cross into the middle. It took a deflection before Duke flicked the header past the keeper.
The Socceroos began to press and show more confident and made some impressive blocks as we reached the half.
Tunisia could have equalized at the stroke of HT but Msakni missed the target.
SECOND HALF
Tunisia began the half knowing they were still in the game. But Australia was resolute at the back.

Msakni almost got Tunisia on level in the 72nd minute as he tested Ryan on both occasions only to be denied.
There was increased pressure from Tunisia as they moved the ball quicker and were more fluid.
But the Socceroos kept their nerve and held on for an impressive victory and picked up their 1st win of the competition.
