ENG vs IND: Bad News for England, Mark Wood might rule out of third test following Shoulder injury

Eng vs Ind 3rd Test Updates: England pacer Mark Wood has doubts about playing in the third Test against India starting next week. Wood suffered a shoulder injury on the fourth day of the Lord’s Test match.

England head coach Chris Silverwood said on Tuesday (August 17), “The medical team is working on it, we will know more in the next few days.”

Silverwood continued, “We will make a decision together with Wood and the medical team when the time comes.  But if he is not right, then he is not right.  If he tells me he’s not right, I certainly won’t pressure him to play.”

Let us tell you that England is already struggling with the problem of injured players. Fast bowlers Jofra Archer, Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes are injured. Apart from this, all-rounder Ben Stokes has withdrawn from the series due to personal reasons.

On the fourth day of the second Test, Wood injured his right shoulder while stopping the boundary. After which he also bowled on the fifth day, due to which his trouble increased.

According to reports, England may include James Vince and David Malan in the team for the third Test to be held in Leeds from August 25.  Both these players played their last test match in 2018.
