FIRST HALF

Czech Republic did not begin the first half in bright fashion as England nearly scored in the 2nd minute through Sterling.

His chip shot rebounded off the post as the Czechs breathed a sigh of relief.

It could have been the perfect start for the Three Lions.

England continued to press up-field while Czech Republic struggled to get on the ball and were forced to drop deep.

It did not last long for England as they broke the deadlock in the 12th minute through Sterling.

Czech Republic soon had a better spell of possession and tried to force their opponents in their own half.

England came close to doubling their lead but Kane’s effort was saved well by Vaclik with a strong hand.

SECOND HALF

The second half began on an even note as Czech Republic looked to get back on level terms.

Czech Republic’s passing let them down in the final third, due to which they could not apply the pressure on England.

England were not at their fluid best and weren’t threatening the opposition goal.

Not much happened towards the end as we reached full time.
