EPL Results: Aubameyang goal could not help Arsenal as Burnley held Arsenal on 1-1, stay tenth in the table


Burnley and Arsenal played out a thrilling 1-1 draw at the Turf Moor. Pierre-Emrick Aubameyang opened the scoring for the visitors before a wild shot by Xhaka went in off Wood to allow the hosts to level.
The Gunners have yet again dropped points in their pursuit of a top six finish and with another 11 games to go this season, it looks very unlikely that the Gunners may play Europa League football next season.

In the second half, it was chances galore from both ends. Pieters and Wood missed their opportunities to give the home side a lead due to brilliant saves by Leno.
Pepe fluffed his lines from a low cross ball by Tierney to miss the chance to regain the lead.

Arsenal had the last chance of the game when Ceballos rattled the post after a scramble in the box to complete proceedings.
Arteta’s men were unable to clinch a winner. Due to this result, both teams stay in their respective 10th and 15th places in the Premier League.
Burnley are on the road in their next match against Everton while Arsenal have a North London Derby on 14th March before which they play Olympiacos in the Europa League.
