Euro Cup 2020: One year later than initially planned, Euro 2020 kicks off on June 11, 2021. It will be a special tournament, not only because of all the conditions that have caused it to be delayed or the circumstances that surround it, but because for the first time it will be played in several countries.
Not without controversy, UEFA confirmed the venues of the matches and although Spain remains one of the hosts, it will not be the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao as planned, but La Cartuja in Sevilla.
The reason: the restrictions on the public that are imposed in the Basque Country. Dublin also fell from the initial list, and their meetings are divided between St. Petersburg and London.
The 11 confirmed venues are Amsterdam, Baku, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Glasgow, London, Rome, Saint Petersburg, Munich and Seville. The legendary Wembley Stadium will be the one that will be repeated the most: it will host both the semi-finals and the final, in addition to the three of the group stage and one of the round of 16 originally planned in Brussels (Belgium).
