#5 – Sir Richard Hadlee

One of the greatest of all time and definitely a Kiwi legend, Sir Hadlee took 431 wickets in 86 Tests for his country.

He was a great right from the beginning of his career, as he took only 14 Tests to achieve the 50-wicket landmark!

#4 – Daniel Vettori

Dan Vettori is arguably the best left-arm spinner that New Zealand has produced, and certainly one of the best of all time!

In 113 Tests for NZ, he took 362 wickets. He took the first 50 of those, also in 14 Tests.

The bald-headed right-arm fast bowler played 71 Tests for his country and took an impressive 233 wickets. He took his 50 wickets in a game less than the above two legends, in 13 Tests that is!
