Inter beats Sassuolo: Lukaku & Martínez guide Inter Milan beat Sassuolo 2-1, stay top on points table. Inter Milan won 3 important points after beating Sassuolo with a score of 2-1 in the continued match of the 2020/21 Serie A, Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Thursday (8/4/2021).
Milan took a two-goal lead through Romelu Lukaku (10 ‘) and Lautaro Martínez (67’). Sassuolo fought well, but could only score one goal through Hamed Traore (85 ‘).
These results strengthen Inter Milan’s position at the top of the standings with 71 points from 29 matches. 11 points ahead of its closest competitor, AC Milan.

Sassuolo’s resistance finally produced a return goal in the 85th minute. Inter made a mistake at the back, the ball was stolen by Duricic which Traore finished. Goal! Inter 2-1 Sassuolo.
There are no additional goals in the remainder of the match. The referee blew the long whistle. Score 2-1 to win Inter.
