IPL 2021: The second phase of IPL 2021 is going to start in UAE from 19th September. The first match of the second phase is to take place between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in Dubai.

Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the second phase of IPL 2021. Dark clouds of Corona are hovering over IPL. The first phase was postponed due to Corona. Once again, concerns about Covid-19 have increased.

After the corona case of Covid-19 in the Indian team in England, the IPL franchises located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are getting worried.

Teams Players still reach on UAE

Four IPL captains and several players from both the teams are currently part of the India vs England Test series. In such a situation, the troubles of the IPL franchise can increase. A Dubai-based franchise official spoke to sudden source and gave his opinion on this.

Worrying situation regarding Corona
Speaking to InsideSport, a franchise official said, “The situation is very worrying. Now even 1 positive case in Indian team will put IPL in danger.

All these players are together, they have to reach UAE by a chartered flight. These are all top players and a must for every franchise. God forbid, if someone positive comes, the entire IPL could be in trouble.

However, that the remaining 31 matches of this season will take place at a total of three venues – Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The second phase will continue for a total of 27 days.

The match between KKR and RCB will be held in Abu Dhabi on 20 September. Punjab-Rajasthan on 21st September, Delhi-Hyderabad team will compete on 22nd September.
