IPL 2022: Will Iyer or Dhawan to stay in DC, 3 players DC to retain

IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals refurbished themselves after changing their name from Delhi Daredevils resulting in a great luck for the team full of youth and powerful line up. Delhi Capitals is one of the most impressive teams in the IPL. 

With no Title in hand they will like to emphasize in the mega auction which will take place next year so that they bring the Maiden Title home. These are the players DC will look to retain:

Shikhar Dhawan:

Dhawan is the opener who always scores big, providing a good start to their batting and leads from the front. Dhawan’s experience brings in a good mixture to the squad. DC will find it hard to let their prime opener go, so he stands a good chance for retention.

Kagiso Rabada:

Rabada is undoubtedly the best asset of DC. His skills to take those wickets is commendable and proves as a deadly bowler for the opponents to face. He leads the bowling attack. He is a pretty sure retention from DC.

Rishabh Pant/ Shreyas Iyer:

Rishabh Pant is in the form of his life. He did a great job in his first captaincy stint this year. His batting has matured drastically and there has been a major improvement in his technique with the gloves. Pant will be the top choice retention for the next season.

Shreyas Iyer, with an unfortunate injury was out of this season but there is no doubt he will be retained and will be back as a captain for DC. His ability to anchor in the middle overs and accelerate at the death overs is exemplary. Iyer’s leadership has been fruitful for the team, it will be interesting if DC backs both of them or just one of them.
