Benzema UCL record: Benzema is nearing a massive record in tonight’s Champions League 1st leg clash of the RO 16 vs Liverpool at Anfield Stadium.

The French striker entered the UCL history books last season with a 5th Champions League title to his name. He broke a host of record last season and will be hoping to repeat the same this time as well.

However, before the start of the Round of 16 clash Benzema nears a huge UCL record, which we take a look at.

The Real Madrid can chalk up a 91st UCL win tonight if his side manage to overcome Liverpool at Anfield.

Currently, the lad is 6th in line in the list for most wins in the Champions League behind Ronaldo, Casillas, Muller, Messi and Xavi.

A win tonight will take Benzema ahead of Xavi in the race, from where he can be hopeful of one day breaking the Ronaldo record of 115 wins.

It will be a huge achievement if he can overtake former teammate, Ronaldo but for now going past Xavi is his main approach.

Real Madrid’s recent form hasn’t been the best but with 4 wins on the spin, they come into this clash with confidence.

They will be up against the tide in one of Europe’s most difficult grounds to get a result, Anfield.
