Croatia 4-1 Canada: Kramaric’s brace alongside goals from Livaja and Majer ensured a first win for Croatia in their second Group F match on Sunday.
Davies broke the deadlock with a goal within 69 seconds before Croatia’s experience got them back into the game and took it away from their hands.
FIRST HALF
Canada made the perfect start to the game as Davies put them 1-0 ahead in 69 seconds with a smashing header.
It could not have been better as Buchanan whipped in a terrific cross which was headed home with disdain by Davies past a helpless Livakovic.

Croatia was shocked at the start and needed to get themselves back into the moment.
Post the goal, Croatia got control of the game and were incisive in their pressing and movement towards the Canada goal. The likes of Kovacic, Brozovic and Modric combined well to keep Canada away.
The Blazers found the back of the net in the 26th minute through Kramaric but was ruled out for offside.

Modric and Co continued their pressure application and eventually equalized through Kramaric. He got into space and received Perisic’s ball before dispatching it with confidence.
Livaja doubled the lead with a stunner goal a minute before half time as he beat Borjan from Juranovic’s pass. The Blazers went it at half time with a 2-1 lead.
SECOND HALF
Canada nearly got the equalizer minutes after the second half began through Osorio, but he missed the target.
This did not deter Croatia as they continued to apply pressure and made it 3-1 through Kramaric.
Perisic once again set up the Hoffenheim player with a beautiful cross, before he took a touch and fired home. This goal deflated Canada and doused any hopes of a comeback.
With pressure on Canada, they tried to attack more leaving a gap at the back before Majer made it 4-1.
The Rennes lad tapped home from close range Orsic set it up with a square-pass to him.

This was the last piece of action as Croatia ended the night with a 4-1 victory and also eliminated Canada from the FIFA WC 2022.
