The Real Madrid winger made his debut at the World Cup stage against Serbia on Thursday and could not have been in a better show.

Junior threatened the Serbian defenders throughout the contest, had a chance as well to find the net and was a menace.

From striking runs to quick feet, he was present all over and assisted Richarlison’s 2nd goal of the night. He deservedly won accolades for his performance in Brazil’s opening clash.

Kylian Mbappé

The PSG forward scored and set up a goal each to ensure a positive night for Les Bleus.

His threatening runs down the flank put Socceroos defender, Atkinson under pressure throughout.

The Frenchman’s pinpoint cross for Giroud was a peach which added to his repertoire after scoring his 5th World Cup goal.

Takumo Asano

Asano was another key performer on MD 1 as the substitute made an immediate impact with the winning goal over Germany in Group E.

The Japanese winger collected the ball with a touch of brilliance before lashing home from close quarters.

Post the goal, he was right in the thick of things for the Samurai Blue as he was focused and concentrated in ensuring a win for them.

Interceptions, clearances and being the target man was where Asano succeeded in rattling German’s hopes of a win.

Mohammed Al-Owais

Al-Owais put in a brilliant display of concentration, athleticism and passion as his efforts helped Saudi to a famous win.
