Asano scored the second of Japan’s 2 goals as they beat Germany 2-1 in their Group E opener.

The Japanese winger’s first touch from Itakura’s cross stole the show with the perfect technique before he scored from the tightest of angles past Neuer and into the roof of the net.

More than the goal, it was the touch which got the ball under control that wowed the crowd and any neutral viewer. Asano’s strike deserved to find the net owing to his expertise.

Salem Al-Dawsari

It just had to be a Brazilian, with probably an early goal of the World Cup contender prize.

Richarlison scored a brace in Brazil’s 2-0 win over Serbia and his 2nd goal was awe-strikingly beautiful.

The forward took one touch from Vinicius’ cross with his back to goal before he unleashed a technically perfect bicycle kick past Milinkovic-Savic.

The goal was so Brazil-esque that even Peter Drury recited the same when the Tottenham forward’s goal lashed into the net.
