Barcelona vs SD Huesca: It was a coast for Messi and Co as Messi celebrated his 767th apperance for Barcelona by beating SD Huesca 4-1 on the night and jumping to 2^nd on the points table and are now just four points behind the table toppers, Atlético Madrid.

It was captain fantastic Lionel Messi who made it 1-0 after curling a top drawer left-footed finish into the top-corner in the 13^th minute.

Griezmann doubled the tally when he scored an absolute thunderbolt from outside the box, the goal being similar to Messi’s 13^th minute strike.

SD Huesca had a ray of hope in extra time when they were awarded a penalty for a foul on Mir, which he dispatched into the bottom right corner to make it 2-1.

But it was Mingueza who dashed the hopes of a SD Huesca comeback when he headed home to make it 3-1 in the 53^rd minute before Messi completed the formalities with a sweet strike from outside the box to add a fourth to their tally.

Barcelona resumed normal service after getting knocked out in the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint Germain with a performance of desire, flair and flamboyance.

They had the chance to score more but the woodwork denied Alba and De Jong from getting onto the score sheet.

SD Huesca had their chances to test the Barcelona keeper but did not do enough. Barcelona could have also made this a field day with the chances they too had but would be happy with a 4-1 win which takes them to 2^nd place for now.

Barcelona now have a trip to Real Sociedad while SD Huesca play a home match against Osasuna in their next fixtures.
