Barcelona beats Osasuna by 2-0: Osasuna and Barcelona faced each other on the night of Saturday, March 6 for the dispute of the match corresponding to matchday number 26 of the Santander 20/21 League. The dispute, held in El Sadar, ended with a 0-2 result for the visitors.
First half
The match started with Osasuna very orderly and clear with his ideas for the dispute of the match. Orderly defense and a direct game, complicated the start for the Catalans. Such was the case, that Osasuna had the clearest opportunity until the moment of the meeting. In the 14th minute, Kike Barja fired a great shot that seemed to sneak into Ter Stegen’s right wing, but the goalkeeper showed his great level and momentum with a changed hand save that left Kike Barja with an astonished face.
Osasuna made it clear that it was not going to be a simple game and Barça had to put the batteries right away. 5 minutes later, the VAR had to go into action to suspend the red card, by hands outside the area, of Sergio Herrera. There was a previous offside of Leo Messi and, therefore, the rojillo goalkeeper was saved from leaving his team with 10.
However, he was unable to save himself 10 minutes later. Stratospheric pass of Leo Messi who finds a Jordi Alba totally unmarked and who gave no option to a Sergio Herrera who a little more and shot him in the face with the shot of the Barça side. 0-1 for the visitors and the first stone laid on the way to the three points.
However, Osasuna followed his own and after 5 minutes he had a golden opportunity. Millimeter change of game by Moncayola who finds a Rubén García who, with a sublime oriented control, was left alone in front of the German goalkeeper. The game continued its course without great opportunities or dangerous plays. However, Barça managed to close the match at the end of the game. Osasuna will seek in the following day, against Valladolid, to consolidate out of relegation places and be more aware of looking up than down. Instead, Barça will play their next match against Huesca with the intention of chasing Atlético and Madrid in the fight for the title.
