English football’s first silverware is up for grabs this season as Leicester City lock horns with Manchester City for the FA Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.

The FA Cup champions did not have a good pre-season as they could only manage one victory in 4 matches and would be itching to get their confidence and form back on track.
Leicester beat Spanish side, Villarreal 3-2 at home in their last match to secure a thrilling win in front of a packed house.
Söyüncü, Barnes and Perez scored for the Foxes while Nino and Millan’s strikes helped Villarreal score twice but was not enough.
On the other hand, Manchester City has been undefeated in pre-season having won all their matches.

A victory over Blackpool 4-1 in their last match gives them supreme confidence ahead of this key clash and with the arrival of Jack Grealish, things look rosy for the blue half of Manchester.
Gundogan scored twice while Edozie and Mahrez’s strikes gave the Premier League champions victory.
Garbutt scored for Blackpool but it turned out to be a mere consolation effort.
Leicester and Man City have faced each other on numerous occasions with the advantage being in favour of Pep’s men for a while.
Both sides met last season in the Premier League twice. At the Etihad, Leicester won 5-2 while at the King Power, City returned the favour by edging out the Foxes 2-0.

Man City are in better form and have the stronger side coming into this clash but Leicester’s spirit and desire is second to none and this could well play a part.
