Luka Modric: Croatian mid-fielder Luka Modric has signed a new Real Madrid contract deal which will keep him at the club until 2022.
The Croatian signed the new contract extension which keeps him at the club till the end of the 2021-22 season.
This will complete a decade stay at the Los Blancos for Luka Modric, who signed from Tottenham in 2012.
Luka Modric’s rise in the Real Madrid rose very quick as he became a very important asset to the team in 2013 under Carlo Ancelotti.
His outstanding and top-notch performances helped him secure a Ballon D’or in 2018.
Modric has been a vital part of every Real Madrid season since 2012 and will complete a decade with the Madrid-based side in 2022.
In 391 appearances at the club, he has scored 28 goals and provided 61 assists across all competitions.
With 266 La Liga appearances, Modric scored 20 goals for them along with 44 assists.
His style of play, commanding performances in mid-field coupled with leadership skills has given him the edge against his team-mates.
He was voted the best player in Europe and Best Men’s FIFA Player for his clinical displays in 2018.

Luka Modric has a silverware cabinet which consists of almost all trophies which are achievable in a career:

1 X Spanish Cup
3 X Spanish Super Cups
4 X FIFA Club World Cups
3 X UEFA Super Cups
Now that is a cabinet worth admiring and being determined enough to gain in a decade for any club; let alone Real Madrid.
